SO many fakes!

How is there so many fake profiles?!!!

Nearly every day there is 3-4 more in my area. No pics, same cut and paste intro or short bio.

What is the actual point to them?

Or is it just AI getting bored....

just men in general would be my guess and the one i'd place a £100 bet on.

The ones that always make me chuckle are the 'I'm an 18 year old girl and I want to have fun with men' ones. You know the ones - they're into EVERYTHING, have no pictures, not verified and not photo verified either.

And isn't staggering the number of people on here who have faulty cameras on their phone or laptop?!

Fakes will never agree to meet or give you their number only ask for skype etc. then keep asking you to send pics before they ask for money

Profiles like the ones you're referring to don't bother me in the slightest, OP I just ignore them as they're obviously not going to be meeting me.

As has been said the text you're referring to is likely the default text that gets entered if someone doesn't put anything when they sign up - so if they're new they could be genuine profiles that are just dipping their toes or seeing what the site is like before putting something more.

The ones that DO bother me though are the ones that have been filled out a little, use "borrowed" pics and are interacting despite being obviously fake and are generally leading people on.

That’s really annoying, I agree. I used to be on a dating site and there were people that postponed for ever and ever and ever. What is the point in that? If people want a pen pal that’s fine, but why not say so from the beginning?

If that's what it is maybe you need to give them the chance to add pics and fill the thing in properly. Filter messages from newbies and ignore, problem solved.

Yeah it does, and I got a load of abuse from some idiot when I first joined telling me I was a fake and obviously just a gay guy trying to get pics because I had copy abd paste text. I'd been on the site all of about half an hour at that point. You know what they say about assumptions.

Quite a few are escorts as well. And full on con merchants.

I was scanned a couple of months back sending 'petrol money's to a meet. Only £20 and I laughed about it but it goes on.

(1)Been on over a year with no verifications, (2)graphic sexual content from message one(most females do not embark on cyber sex immediately)(3)Suddenly dropping off the radar (wife has just walked in) (4)only online very late at night or early morning (safe as wife is sleeping)(5) after agreeing to meet wont agree to 'phone contact under any circumstances (even if you say you will accept 'number withheld')

Some people just want to waste your time or maybe their married and just want a quick naughty play. Can not beleive their are people out their that let others down. X

just search for verified users, but even some of them are fake

Thats because admin now have a auto fill in facility so people don't have the "fill in later" profile. Helped a friend put up a profile a few weeks back and noticed this was new, its very generic saying

- I am a XX year old woman and I'm looking to meet men, couples -
