just cos theres people on our profile over 40 doesnt mean wa have played, we have met in person at clubs and they are friends dont think it says anything else, sorry not meaning to be anything ist its just how we want this party to be, 3 years i,ll be up ther myself many a good tune played on an old fiddle you know,

Its their party, I assume their home, they can invite who they like.

Parties are a pain in the arse to arrange, getting the right mix of people, sorting the music, risk of possible damage, before you even start to think of the costs of drinks/food/breakfast ect.

We host a few parties each year, and as others have rightly said, it's a hell of a lot of work, you dont just put up a message asking if anyone wants to come along, it just don't work like that. That said, it's a very satisfying moment when you hear the noise level hit that all important buzz. Go for it, and have a great time.

I never intended for my comments to be detrimental ie "too old to go" I have already wrote a thesis, ok comment in a thread on ageism on this site and my views are that people can choose whatever they want, it is all about personal preference, but if I see a forum thread I have this habit and urge to respond perhaps it should be in the events area not a forum thread if comments are not required
