Seems to be a lot of NHS/other public service staff on here. Should there be a special rate and/or set up a network?

Why should they get a special rate?

How do you get a special rate on a free site?

I did 21 years in uniform, army followed by police and was well paid for it, don’t think that made me any more deserving of any discount.

In reflection I think my idea stemmed from drinking Stella before watching question time. I've learned my lesson

I dont think I've actually received a 'service' from a member of any of the forces/ public services yet. Not the fab kind of service anyway! Does a teacher count?

I’m currently serving in the military and don’t think it entitles us to free/discounted products or memberships. Just think all public service jobs deserve more respect than what they are given.

I prefer a little equality for everyone no matter what people do for a job or not isn't it fair we should all be treat the same? Or I missing something ans some are more equal than others.

20yrs serving the public with the fire brigade. When I joint the job we were appreciated... now we’re just a drain on public money.

How society has changed

It sounds as though you want your god like position back. The reality is all public sectors drain public services from bin men to hospital staff didn't they all used to be called public servants?

Somewhat sweeping statement. I've had 6 sick days in just under 27 years.... I think that's probably less than most.

Oooh sweeping generalisation! Most of us work 30% over our contracted hours for no payment, but you’re right I don’t want anything for free on that basis either

Currently serving in the armed forces and don’t think we deserve a discount. NHS nurses are massively under appreciated
