Can I ask the wonderful ladies of fab the following :

Obviously you ladies get huge amounts of mail on here, and often messages are mass deleted (who has the time to go through all of them), but lets say you are a guy who has messaged someone, but your message could have been the victim of a mass email deletion, and of course you have no idea if your message has even been read at all.

What would you ladies say is acceptable about someone messaging again, thinking that the original email has been part of a mass deletion and was not probably even read or seen?

I wouldn't bother.

If they've got that much mail they didn't read it the first time i don't see the point in filling their inbox up again.

Two messages from the same person is acceptable but don't push it!

Your assuming your message was part of a mass delete when she may have read it, looked at your profile and thought na!!

Not all of us get thousands of messages, some of us know how to use the filters!

a village near Haywards Heath in East Sussex

I would say don't message a second time. The recipient had her opportunity the first time and chose not to take it.

I have messaged a 2nd time lots of times and got a positive reply, when I mentioned that I’d messaged previously they hadn’t seen it. My rule is that I wouldn’t message a 2nd time for at least 3 months since the 1st message.

What a great rule where do you make the note of date and time?

If you pay for a site supporters pass you can see on their profile when you last messaged or winked at them.

It does tell you if they've read the message or not.

So if its deleted without reading then you know it might be part of a mass delete and probably safe to message once more, but no more than twice without a response.

But if it says read and it's been deleted ... move on
