Your right there I’ve seen the Mrs bum take a good slapping many times

Pretty much, although the number is about 0.7 to 1 (waist to hip). Also, the male population is roughly split in half in terms of whether the waist to hip ratio is the primary driver or overall body size (i.e. slim to large). In both cases the point at which the largest number of men found that shape attractive was the same as the point at which the largest number of women were most fertile.

Think three bell curves all shmooshing together (to invent a new scientific term ) to create a complicated matrix of who might have an in built preference to find whom attractive and that bit of it is driven by the evolutionary urge to select for highest fertility.

But then we have layers upon layers of societally induced preference, personal experience and what you just woke up horny about this morning to add on.

No wonder no one knows what's going on .
