Hi there,

try St. John's wort tables or ginseng, available at health food shops, they should help.

Good luck

Xx

I'm not a lady, but ask gp for hormone replacement therapy. From what I have seen libido will often come back with a vengeance

Can I please ask probably a silly question... can someone explain how a lost libido affects your approach to sex... Even non penetrative.. begging for your patience

Your libido controls your desire to have sex or be intimate. If you have no or low libido you have no desire to have sex.

Mine hasn't as yet. HRT just delays the menopause

I'm only 3 months post op and was v unhappy at the libido loss, had an incredibly high drive prior. Asked doc for change to hrt, has helped enormously. Got ring and combi patch and things have definitely improved!

Well if I was lying in bed before it'd only be about half an hour before my hands wandered south for fun after I'd just not think about ut, it just stopped occurring

Thank fuck it's better now.

I can only speak for myself. but after i went through menopause, my sex drive increased! it has since balanced out, and i have been left with a higher libido than before menopause.

Thank goodness for this thread!

My recent 51st birthday in July brought me the present of menopause, gutted!

I had a hysterectomy at 38 so no periods since & even though they left my ovaries, I've had stable hormones since the op...bliss!

So, menopause has hit like a frieght train with ever chnaging moods, emotional wreck most of the time & some hot flushes in the evenings.

My libido is hit n miss which is driving me insane!Hubby is fab & very supportive thank goodness, I'm very lucky!

We only joined the site earlier in the year & had only just got going having had our first full swing at the end of May & loved it!

Now I don't recognise myself & am struggling with crappy moods & emotions & not knowing if I want sex or not! Strangely, even if I don't feel in the mood, once hubby & I kiss & get involved I'm raring to go & have increased sexual responsiveness so can't complain!

My GP practice doesn't do HRT & I don't do well on medication anyway so want to appraoch it holistically. I'm a Reiki Master so that helps & I do yoga & meditation & some light exercise to try to keep me sane!

It's hard to arrange meets on here when I don't know how I'm gonna be feeling once in the situation & don't want to mess people around or put them off.

Any advice or am I just over thinking it all?? Please help! xx
