What is it with guys accusing me of being racist because I don't want to meet them? Colour has nothing to do with it, it's clear on my profile what I'm looking for, if they can't be bothered to read it that's their problem. I'm sick of the race card being played all the time. Why do it?!

We get this every now and again. Ignore and block them, they’re not worth an extra thought. Fab could easily implement more limiting search criteria; for example you can block TVs (good thing for us), we should also be able to select potential meets based on other criteria too and help out these morons.

We get this every now and again. Ignore and block them, they’re not worth an extra thought. Fab could easily implement more limiting search criteria; for example you can block TVs (good thing for us), we should also be able to select potential meets based on other criteria too and help out these morons. Blocking is the easiest option.

I've read it as the OP is turning down guys because they are attached not because they are black but is being given hassle because they are making the assumption that it is their colour and not their relationship status that is driving her decision...and I haven't even looked at her profile to ascertain that...

I had this the other day saying I was outdated for preferring white guys

I pointed out it was a preference of sexual attraction not a preference of social attraction

Much the same as preferring a sexual partner who’s tall and inked compared to someone that likes shorter guys or hates tattoos !!!

I occasionally receive abuse from white guys I don't choose to meet who assume because my partner's black that Ive rejected them because they're white, which isn't the case!

We do the same and the only negative response was one Asian guy hilariously telling my wife she was a traitor. So it seems a shame and odd you are getting all this abuse.

Everyone has a preference whether its race, build or height. Some may be open to all types but would still have a preference for one type over another if push comes to shove. In the online world peoole are now faced with a multitude of options at their fingertips so those who can afford to be picky do become picky and who can blame them? Whether we choose to admit it or not, people do go by first impressions and judge on very superficial criteria. When it comes to sexual attraction and a need to satisfy sexual desires this becomes even moreso. A recent bbc program highlighted that modern society has become more prejudiced and homogenous in thinking. This goes against the grain that as we are now more multicultural and globalised, we are in fact swinging more towards a caucasian ideal compared to the previous generation. We can't really change it even though some minorities may be in a less fortuitous position like myself so we have to like it or lump it. I have a certain type but that type isn't generally drawn to my type. Its a bitter pill to swallow but that's life. Personally i think it might be easier for me to focus on finding a special individual who values me for everything that I am as opposed to trying to find multiple individuals who may find me attractive just for sex. Not everyone can become successful swingers. I am sure many can attest to that.

This is a frequently raised topic which i tried to address myself this past fortnight and is quite contentious. I, myself don't see it as racist to have a preference despite being of ethnic minority. I have my own preferences so it would be hypocritical to label anybody as racist. Some races such as my own find ourselves consistently shut out at the first hurdle which is frustrating but is simply something we have to live with. I don't see it as racism towards my own race, merely a lack of attraction based upon appearances. If somebody doesn't like sushi or spicy food that is just their own personal taste. Some people just like ham egg and chips. Nothing wrong with that. People might find it rude or a slight against them to not get a 'thanks but no thanks' but I am sure many people get that regardless of race. After a few weeks my own expectations have been more realistic and it has become easier to accept. Being bitter or rude is unlikely to change opinion, rather it is likely to hinder your own chances of success and damage your own psychological well-being.

Thats the way it should be too but some people though struggle with rejection and think their age, race, sexuality, beliefs should not exclude them.
