Okay, I've taken one for the team and googled it. For a start, it's not the nasty yellow and black wasp that annoys you at picnics, it's a gall wasp.

They lay their eggs in the leaf buds of oak trees causing the bud to deform and harden. It's these oak galls that are being sold to grind up into a paste and rub into the vagina.

Medical professionals say that this is a BAD THING. It dries up the vagina and can make sex painful.
