Just read an article saying pussy licking can cause throat cancer - for 30 years I’ve been enjoying this and now someone tells me I could be the one in danger !

Think i need to become a Monk it seems !

The scaremongering goes on...I have been sucking cock unprotected for over 50 years and have been fortunate??

Yet a minority on here rant and rave about the dangers.A few even insist on a condom for oral...my response is to tell them to look elsewhere.

Unprotected sex always carries an element of risk. I recall that Michael Douglas believed his own throat cancer was linked to cunnilingus

"I have been sucking cock unprotected for over 50 years and have been fortunate??"

You must be tired, lol.

OP was specifically referring to cunnilingus, though

would he be the first man to try and find a way to avoid saying 'i have sucked cock' if that was the case? Probably not.

HPV has been linked to causing cancers including Oral, Cervical and Anal. It is the most common among sexual transmitted viruses. Not all variations cause cancers however and the most serious ones there is a vaccine for called Gardasil.

Although it is best to get the vaccine before you become sexually active, you can have it as an adult. We have both had it from a private GP just to be on the safe side. Although we have probably come into contact with at least one variety of HPV the hope is that we haven't had one of the most dangerous variations and that the vaccine should offer protection if we do come into contact with one of the varieties that are linked with cancer.

Gosh... I lost count of the number of ladies I have gone down on many years ago. I'd hate to think it was linked to throat cancer.

Is this a great increase in risk.... Or more the "parsnips are a carcinogen" situation?

Don't say that! Be an excuse for the Conservatives to put a tax on cunnilungus to offset the ensuing cancer treatment!

I've heard it said, a few times, that if you gargle with a medicinal mouthwash after oral sex it reduces risk of infections etc. Anyone know if this is true.

Is it?

Think of it this way... HPV causes cancer. What's one way of contracting HPV? Pussy licking... but obviously only if your partner is a carrier!

The studies and statistics are there. The choice is ours as to what action if any we take.

Not paying attention when crossing a road carries the risk of instant death! Although some evil people now mount pavements.

I’m gonna carry on eating pussy until I’m full

Personally I can’t lick enough pussy. It’s delicious and the best place to be! I’ve licked the pussy of just about every woman I’ve fucked and will happily continue to eat out as many women as possible. I love getting d*unk on pussy-juice and no scientists can stop me! (Unless they happen to be some sexy chick I’m about to screw!)

Around 1 in 4 mouth cancers and 1 in 3 throat cancers are HPV-related, but in younger patients most throat cancers are now HPV-related.

Detecting the HPV virus in a sample of people who have oral cancer doesn't mean that HPV caused the cancer.

How do you get HPV in the mouth?

The types of HPV found in the mouth are almost entirely sexually transmitted, so it's likely that oral sex is the primary route of getting them.

There are more than 100 types of HPV and around 15 are associated with cancers. These 15 are known as high-risk HPV types.

They're also passed on through vaginal and anal sex, and are linked to cancer of the cervix, anus and penis.

The ratss are certainly rising in young men especially for hpv + throat cancer but it’s a risk factor not guaranteed

Eg smoking causes lung cancer but not a sure fire way of getting it.

Unless you’ve been exposed to blue asbestos then that’s a whole other league of risk.

"But do you believe everything you read "

The information is out there, it is up to the individual if they choose to read it.

After all ignorance is bliss

It really is time that boys were offered HPV vaccinations at an age before they become sexually active, as is the case for girls
