I read on someone’s status

Why would you ask people to message you again? If you didn’t answer the first time....

It’s kinda like calling a exterminator to get rid of your rats and roaches ..... but leaving food out for them to come back again....

Okay I sort of get what they’re saying. I bulk delete and I’m sure in midst there are probably messages from ‘friends’ and those are the ones I would be asking to message again, not the randoms...

My guess is the majority of those messages will be copy/paste ones or just 'u k?' messages. The senders probably won't be bothered if they got deleted as they were throw away messages.

Anyone genuinely interested would likely be following the profile via the hotlist function so would know to message again if they had a real connection.

I’m guilty of this status once.

I saw some messages I intended to reply to after work but by the time I got home I’d got loads more.

You can’t look at any message on another page until you’ve deleted the current page of messages.

I started working my way through messages trying to get to the page I’d seen earlier but it was going crazy so I just did a bulk delete.

It sounds like a covert attempt to make an explanation that they may not have responded to everyone that they were interested in - but the inbox was unmanageable for them, so they were sharing their predicament of overload, whilst inviting others to potentially repeat the same experience. Caveat emptor, springs to mind - but if people remember that they may have been interested, it's potentially easier sending a message to others that they've messaged before, effortwise.

For what it's worth I don't think it's always a bragging thing guys.. sometimes you get annoyed guys wondering why you've ignored them ... or not replied.. but they've simply got lost in all of the messages .. so a status saying I've bulk deleted hundreds.. please try again is just that ... a chance that some decent guys can remessage and hope it gets through and not lost.

Why do people have to be cynical on here with the "yeah right " and "show off" etc .. if you can't say nothing nice and all that ....

The person is obviously explaining to the masses instead if individually why messages were deleted unread... sometimes a clean inbox is just easier to work through

No need to bitch..stay nice;) x
