Due to family circumstances we haven't been on here for approx 4 months and when I logged on again today all our incoming and outgoing messages have disappeared. Can anyone explain the reason for this. Don

They may have all left the site. when people delete their profiles, the site now deletes all the mails.

It's a pain if you want to leave contact details with people before you leave, but I think Admin have done it so that people can't send abusive messages then leave. -The abuse will disappear with them.

It's not just old messages that disappear - I've had an increasing number of sent messages randomly vanish, and the people they went to are still on the site...

...there doesn't appear to be a set pattern - eg., I've still got one sent 15 weeks ago, but one sent around 15 days ago has gone...

If the recipient had blocked you, your message is toast.....

Though that may be the case, just checked and I'm still able to view and (if I wanted to) send to people where previous messages to them have vanished...

I think messages are automatically deleted after so long, my unread messages number is slowly decreasing by itself.
