STOLEN PROFILE

has anyone ever had this happen to them? i was browsing some profiles and came across one that is identical to my OH's profile when he was a single male.

I know its his profile as its very distinct, and has the same errors in grammar.

I know i cant do anything about it....but i just thought, how cheeky, and how very lazy that he couldnt come up with his own thoughts.

Ok...rant over, just had to vent

I would take it as a compliment as long as they didnt use my pics x obviously the other person doesnt have the intelect of your partner, xx

How do you know for sure its been copied and not your other half still using the profile...

oh i sent him a message, from MY single profile, he denied it of course, but as my OH is hungarian, and the grammar mistakes are something no english speaking person would make,i know he's bulls*******

And no....its not copyrighted...but i would have thought that if he at least admitted to it, then that would have been fine.....just thought it was very cheeky thats all

because my other half has deleted his single profile, and unless he has shrank almost a foot, and got a face transplant then its NOT him..lol

yeh, i had mine copied word for word by another single fem, she hadnt used all of it, she had aslo taken sections from another womans

Re first reply... None of us have copyright on what we put on our profile. I laugh whenI see all these copyright notices on the bottom of profiles as it doesnt make a scrap of difference what so ever.

The same thing happened to us last week, saw it as a wee bit cheeky but a compliment.

We mailed them saying we had noticed this and was it bringing them any luck................they got back saying, didn't know what to write in their's and no it's got them zero meets, we laughed and moved on

happened on here a bit back when a person was asking for advice and a nice fellow gave him some things to think about...

he must have done some thinking.. and decided to rip off said fellows profile word for word.....

so much for free thought...

We had a bit of ours copied actually. One of the people chatting to us asked us the rest didn't but we don't mind. I had put a bit saying I am bi but my husband is not a coat hook or something to this affect. To do it all would pee me off but hay it means your doing something right. I thought I had done well writing it on ours

On another site I used to frequent quite regularly someone lifted my profile word for word .... made for an interesting evening in the chatroom when he came in

I've had someone from here steal the opening line of my profile before as well - was pretty easy to spot as they had forgotten to switch of their "looked at me" privacy thing - so when I checked it I saw "Ingredients: 20% Scoundrel....." looking right back at me.

The only difference was he must have thought I'd made a mathematical error so his added up to 100

Well if you can't think of a few lines to write about yourself and have to go and copy text off other profiles and thereby taking on someone elses personality whom you perceive to be more interesting than yourself - well you've got to be fecking stupid haven't you

Someone (no longer on site) copied a big chunk of my profile text, word for word..... and the silly mare was on my friends list (didn't she think that I'd notice, lol). I just found it amusing especially as I am `16 years older than her
