I think that with the massive number of people sayiing that the site is full of fakes and timewasters that maybe some people will make it look as of they're more genuine if they have their number on their profile

Not something I would do but I would'nt just assume that it means they're desparate for doing it

I`m a member of other forums that do not allow personal phone numbers or e.mail addresses to be posted on the open forum. You can post them in any private message you may send. And I think I`m right in saying that other forums do the same and I`m not necessarily talking about swinging forums. The reason given is quite logical when you think of it. You only have to see how the press are being shown what they can do with a bit of phone hacking so it`s a privacy measure really!

I don't really have any strong opinions on people that do have their number visible. If they want to do it, then that's fine by me... no skin off my nose.

I'm not sure how it's considered dangerous though. Presumably they either switch the phone off when not needed, or put it on silent mode.

Sure a phone's signal can be used by the authorities to triangulate someone's position, but I don't think that the members on here have access to do that kind of thing. I'd imagine even the police need a warrant before the network operators comply with a request to pinpoint someone's location.

I'd say that having a photo showing your car registration plate is more likely to lead to someone being identified as being one of those pesky, immoral swingers.

I feel kind of the same about msn or Facebook strangers too close. When we first came on hear I gave my msn out big mastake they were trying to msg all the time when my family were there and kids etc. And with Facebook where you have all your family, it is one thing letting strangers in for us but another in our family lives.

A spare mobile I guess would be a good thing so you can watch it on on an evening or something seams a lot less intrusive to be honest

I(tom) like the forums so much more then the chat rooms i enjoy readding what people think and some silly things people want to know then sometime some people can be so jugementel (and i really dont give a fU@# if i have spelt anything wrong) we put a mob number up on our profile when we want some fun the sim was 99p from the 99p shop when we are not using it we take it out the phone cos we have a life we dont live on here so its a good way to post we are looking for a meet but not have to keep popping back on here every ten min to see if we any msg

it should be up to us and you what you want to do we are all grown ups and free to be free is that not part of why we are here ? somthing a bit away from the norm ???????

know i was thinking i was the only one that had sence if you want to use a spare phone or your phone or your mums phone then its up to you and anyone that says its stupid you could be found much easir from a e-mail addy then a toss a way sim card so many use the same one here as your facebook

we only give out our phone numbers after chatting fo a time or with single guys we only give them out after a social meet to check them out ,

we also have a cheap phone that we use for fabs until we get to now them well .

I tend to think they are nieve and will learn the hard way. There are loads on here who will meet anyone, play with numerous strangers, often lots at once. Clearly some haven't any idea how many and who they were. I do find it funny therefore to see such a comment. None of the above are our thing but everyone makes their own choices so up to them I guess.

a. enter your number in google,

b. click in on pages found in the search and enter Ctrl+F, enter you number and it will highlight on the page.

If the above give no result then either, your number is not posted anywhere or, it is posted where there isn't public access to the information. This sadly, and luckily, includes the Fabs forums.

Sorry to hear your predicament, it's not nice not being able to keep your number private!

I post my everyday number on another global website

I am not bombarded with odd calls

Plus when I was in here previously before 2009, my number was on my profile.

Again. I had no real recurring issues.

And I'm not desperate.

Nor do I have everyone that is kind enough to offer.

I post my number because I'm genuine. Very single and know how to play the game xxxx
