I have posted something similar before but let’s discuss again.

Does the idea, question for a couple, of there being a third person in your marriage excite you. By that I mean the Mrs having a boyfriend...?

a third person sexualy yes a third person in our every day lives no chance our marrige is 20 years of hardwork tears love n trust to have a 3rd person just walk in no chance i would not want it and i know for sure mr would not either but thats just us there are more and more poly couples and moresomes out there

With my first marriage before she died from breast cancer Vern was involved with us for 15 years. Sexually and socially. Then there is our good friend Steve who I've known for over 45 years now and we have fucked each other's wives and girlfriends over the years. He was up here for a couple of weeks back in July I think we spent more time out on the boat fishing than having sex.

It is something we have discussed and both want. Be nice to have a regular boyfriend, not just for sex, but to just go out and enjoy each others company too.

We have a fwb and see a lot of him. Stays most weekends and the sex is out of this world. Complimented by meals out, laughs, general fun and games, it’s massively enhanced our own relationship. So nice not to have to put meets up all the time and always meet new people.

We have had a couple of I guess you’d call them boyfriends, for us it’s putely sexual with some flirtation beforehand etc, meals, drinks.

In an ideal world we’d have a couple of regular bf’s for regular fun but this is obviously a very difficult proposition to maintain. We are in a very stable and loving marriage so for us it’s purely based around sex and nothing more.

I know some poly couples and I still don’t get it so I can only guess I’m pretty old fashioned .

We swing because I like watching my wife have fun and occasionally join in . She loves the fact that I enjoy watching and does it for that reason ( well she does enjoy the fun too ) . But at the end of the day it’s just sex , and we don’t want any more than that from it .

Rose had a regular lover for a while when she was married to her ex, with his knowledge and approval. His only rule was that she played away and didn't bring him home.

No reason why swingers shouldn't have fuck-buddies as well, we know a married woman swinger who has several. As long as it's just sex, not love.

Not for us, we are into sharing but not polyamorous.

The occasional pull when working away is no problem and we are both allowed this but generally we play together.

If we each got a fuck buddy who we could see on the same evening then that would be nice a few times a year but organising that is beyond us at the moment.

you want to regularly go out with another man's wife buy her food and drink and clothes pay for rooms and have sexual relations with said wife? I can't see any reason why a hubby wouldn't just love that as long as she puts his tea on before she goes out

A boyfriend suggests a different level of intimacy to a friend with benefit or FB.

There is no reason you cannot get to know people and indeed we would view that as desireable but for us there is a line.

I will always have the dialogue with the other guy. I make the arrangements..

The gentleman friend my wife had, used to take her out for drinks, go to the cinema, come to ours for a meal as well spending some intimate time together upstairs.

For her this made it seem more personal, which I can relate to.

This has been my main concern really.

I wouldnt want the excitment of a new bf to take away from what we have built as a couple. I can see the benifit sexually but a relationship.

How blury dose this make the line?

We have a strong relationship and adding a boyfriend/FB to it has only enhanced it. It gives my wife a new lease of life with added excitement!

The main problem is finding a genuine guy who is looking for something similar.

Actually, I can shed some light on this. I was married for two years, then I got another additional partner.

I liked him A LOT more than my hubby at one point. It was exciting, fun, he gave me everything my husband was not.

ALL relationships have a honeymoon phase.

I have moved through my honeymoon phase with my partner now. (And I had a similar one with the husband when we first got together!). I now feel that both men are an integral part of my life and I couldn't be without either.

This does come with time and perseverance, and I can't promise it will always come, but it can, and I am proof. I do think I am very lucky though.

Now looking for more fun!

I think the point has been missed here - which I may not have expressed well enough as I did assume people would 'get' it - to me, a successful long term relationship begins with excitement, transitions through the honeymoon phase and then mellows into something a lot more fulfilling - this is actually my favourite stage. I have been with my husband for 8 years now and I am not sure if we will stay like this or if it will further develop.

I am not searching for additional partners to chase the fun with. The fun just happens in an early part of a relationship. The reasons I search for new partnerships are very different, and more personal than I am willing to share here.

There will come an end, when I have everything I am looking for.
