FabSwingers.com forum: When someone recognises you

Was chatting to a couple earlier on and they asked for a pic so I took a pic and sent it via direct message so they knew it was just taking that moment instead of one from gallery and got the message back

"I know your face"

few messages baxk and they said it was from a local quite active Facebook page of aroind 5k people which I'm on a lot.

I asked if as they know who I am if could see a picture and they read message and then 30min later I'm blocked.

They been on here few years,got veris going back couple years so I can see they genuine but when one recognises the other what should be the course of action?

1. instant block

2. make it fair and show so both in same boat

3. continue with chat and see what happens

4. not even say know me and just block then I think not interested

Seems bit harsh to say know me,know where from and then block and I'm clueless to who they are.

Over reaction on my part or just?

I’ve both recognised and been recognised on here. On both occasions we laughed about it, reassured each other about discretion and moved on, like adults should.

I don't think they should have said they knew you if they planned on blocking you, that's not nice.

I had a guy figure out who I was, but wouldn't tell me who he was, he would message saying he had just passed me on the street, knew where I worked, what I was doing, lived etc and this went on for over 2 years. I kept him on side in an effort to trip him up into revealing himself. He often showed up within quarter of a mile. Offered to have coffee with him, said he wanted to play with me but always came up with excuses not to meet for a drink first. In the end he found my fake Facebook profile and that was it I told him I was scared. He blocked me on Kik then so I blocked him on here and I guess I'll just have to live with not knowing who he is, knowing that I could actually know him.

I might have been recognised but no one has said anything. There's a woman on here I've known a long time. Recognised her from her photos and profile text. She's a lovely woman with a heart of gold. I'd never tell her I knew it was her and never tell anyone else she is. That's her personal business.

I'd say they went about that wrongly. I've come across exes on here and other people I know and we just instantly block so there is no awkwardness, I wouldn't ever tell someone that I knew them as it's not my business and I wouldn't want them to stress and wonder or know that I'm on here either!

We recognised someone and just discretely messaged. No awkwardness on either part, just laughed about it.

Also recognised people in local Tesco but said nothing.

One of my best mates found our profile and was a bit weird about it which led to a fall out for a while.

This has happened I recognised a couple. I didn’t block I msged said not a good idea too continue .

They kept sending unsolicited pictures to my whatsapp so blocked everywhere

Ran into the man in the doctors ... awkward

I recognised someone and just dropped them a message saying their Facebook profile picture perhaps wasn’t the best FAB profile picture to use unless they weren’t bothered. Profile picture changed quite quickly

Wouldn’t worry about it OP. Walked in to my friends lounge at the weekend. Saw a guy sat there,but didn’t take much notice. Few seconds later he did a runner on her. Messaged shortly after to say he knew me. Even calling me by my male name. We just laughed about it.

Still no idea who was after I’d seen a pic. Apparently we used to work together.

I've recognised a couple of other single men that I know & one couple that live in the same street as me. I'm sure they all know I'm here as well. Not had any messages or been approached by any of them. It's a matter of discression & respect their privacy.

as is now, we were chatting and they asked for a pic so I sent a direct message pic and that's when said knew me
