It was said in a recent forum (obviously not by myself) that women over 50 are non starters!

Well when I had finished choking on my menopause medication it got me thinking.

As a swinger looking for a female, would you class me as a non starter??

Not at all. Women can be very sexy in their 50's. They are often confident in their bodies and sexually experienced. Certainly wouldn't put us off.

Complete nonsense.

It's about the person not their age.

Just because a woman is in her thirties doesn't mean she is great looking she could have totally let herself go,stink,dress shockingly bad ,be scruffy,rude and just awful ( obviously I am talking about a fictional character here and certainly not talking about anyone in particular I am just using an extreme example)

However

There's plenty of women in late 40's and 50's who work extremely hard at keeping in shape,look great and are generally awesome.

Point being it's the person not their age.

Interesting that you say that, as I've found that lots and lots of 50+ women on here have an age range for younger men only, which suggests it's not the case. I personally like 50+, so no definitely not a non starter and it's a very narrow minded thing for whoever to say as, on fab there's never a one size fits all, that's the beauty of it.

Women over 50 aren't of interest to many. I can understand why, men under about 40 are of no interest to me.

I don't believe that age is just a number, I think the number of years I've been alive has made me different in outlook, experience and attitude to people who've been alive for say 20 years. I don't want to meet those people for sex. I'm happy to work with them, socialise with them, be treated by them in hospital etc.

I don't consider myself to be past it or a non-starter but I do know that just like everyone else on fab I'm not going to be everyone's cup of lapsang souchong

I think it's difficult when you're younger to appreciate what you're missing.

The perception of younger people is that older people are in some way 'past it' in many ways, not just sex. When thinking of women it's often a misconception about the menopause and it's impact on libido. For others it's about an 'ideal' body image.

When you're older you just realise what a numpty you were to discount such an amazing group of people through youthful arrogance ...

I am very conscious of being 50 next year in October. I am fit and in good physical health and mental resilience. I look pretty good and am loving life. Attractiveness is about attitude and outlook. I am looking forward to a fabulous fifties and have lived a good life with lot of fun, interesting times and experiences and no regrets.

I think you got that the wrong way around...

once men reach a certain age they tend to put their DOB back a few years whereas women over 50 are always popular....I have never felt the need to lie about my age and I am post menopausal

Bubbly is a couple of years over 50, I've still got a couple of years to go, and she still does it for me. And even from our thirties we have been with people 50+ and younger. We never really see age as a number, if we like or are attracted to someone doesn't really matter what age they are.
