Don't you just love being asked "are you sure your not ....? You certainly look it"

Erm, yes I'm pretty sure I know more about myself than you do!

No I don't love it. I also don't love people saying "are you sure?" when I refuse an offer of food or something similar.

I have used the phrase to tease people.

I wait until they've tucked into their favourite food,eating it with obvious delight and relish. It's usually ice-cream or dessert.

Then I will tap them on their shoulder and ask,"Excuse me, I just need some clarification, hence the question. Are you sure you're enjoying that?'

After a pause of a nano second, they collapse in giggles.
