I’m seriously debating having mine done on a scale of 1-10 what’s it like pain wise & what’s the healing time like?

from what i remember, pain was like a 4 - 5, hoever, ive heard women describe it nearer a 7 - 8, really it depends on your own pain threshold. it could be anything from 0 - 50 / 10 :P hope this helps haha

For a man, it’s supposed to be one of the most painful ones to have done.

Had mine done over 10 years ago and love it.

For a woman, apparently not so bad.

I really like pierced nipples on a girl and tend to Fab this pictures mainly.

For some their sensation is highlighted and can make them very sensitive.

For others, it does nothing..

The procedure is over in seconds. Once healed they’re easy to change for other jewellery.

Just avoid catching them with clothing and towels etc...!!

Pain when done and every touch for a week or so afterwards is about a 7 similar to a snapped frenulum on the foreskin maybe a bit more painful. Once healed feels fine and quite nice x

Both of my done. I never found,it painful at all as a freeze spray was used. A little throbbing afterwards for a few hrs. Fully healed after a couple months but do weep occasionally especially when u catch them in.your underwear x

I'd recommend it. Receiving oral with it is amazing. Definitely heightens sensations x

He had his pierced maybe 20 years ago, long before we met. Not as painful as his PA but more painful than an ear-lobe. Took a few months to heal but look good, has a bar in one and a ring in the other.

She doesn't fancy getting hers pierced, despite his encouragement. He had a woman FB years ago with pierced nipples and she said it made them a lot more sensitive. They - or just one - look fabulous on nude female bodies.

I was with my delightful sub when she had both of hers done. She described the pain as sharp but quickly over, and gripped my hand tightly as the needle went in! After that they hurt when she caught them on clothes for about three weeks, but with regular bathing (I bought a little glass coffee cup to put salt water into and rinse them!) they healed really quickly - six weeks and it was time to put tighter bars in, which looked amazing.

I confess i do love a lady with piercings.

In answer to your question, in my case many many moons ago when i had my nipple done the piercer used a numbing cream so didnt hirt at all. I removed it after a number of years due to work and after i left that job thought i would try and put a bar back in. Didnt work so got it pierced for a 2nd time. This time no numbing cream and admittedly it did hurt but it was only for a second or so. Whilst healing and contact is a small pain but pleasurable in my opinion. Doesnt take long to heal.

If you want it done get it done !. The pain doesnt last as long as you may think and the pleasure it will bring you and all who are lucky to see it and play with it will far outway the minimal short pain of having it done.

And obviously let me see it when its done !!

Think of it as pain and gain. Yes it will be painful for a couple of weeks but with easy aftercare will be fine after a couple of months.

Men go wild for it. Shows you're a bit sexually extravagant better than a naff tattoo ever will.

If you want it - get it. Do not know what other piercings you have but in my opinion it is not much different to getting your ears pierced.

I’ve copied below what I’ve previously posted about my experience of piercings:

It was on my mind for about ten years.

I finally had enough of putting it off (there were other factors involving spiting someone- completely out of character for me but a very long story). I went to Download festival, got lots of Dutch courage and got it done there and then. Completely the wrong way to go about it even though the piercing tent was Über clean and it was all done properly.

The right way, is a specialist piercer. Not some jewellery store with a gun. Your piercer will check in with you a few weeks after and have a look to see that it’s healing nicely. They don’t (mine doesn’t) charge for this after care. A professional piercer sees it as their art that they are privileged to impart on others. Yes they charge but for the involvement, it’s great value for money.

Pain:

Not really. Imagine a tetanus shot and it’s not nearly as bad as that. It’s often different for a guy too, as with small nipples it’s done deep almost behind the nipple.

It’s healed up nicely but.....

Piercings can be as addictive as tattoos. Because of family considerations, I couldn’t have anything above the neck. I have managed my addiction to maximum one a year.

I got a guiche (perineum) done next and wow it hurt at the time. Something like a 3.2mm needle and bar to minimise rejection. Almost no pain after though and fully healed with aftercare. Then a lorum (base of the penis by the testicles) it was a ring which fell out during sex and rejected when I tried to put it back in. Waited nearly a year for that to heal before getting it redone. Next on the list is either the pubic (skin in the triangle) or my eyebrow, as the family thing is no longer relevant.

Sorry very long post. I love my piercings

Oh and finally. Titanium not stainless steel. If your body is highly reactive, there’s PTFE which is the same as Teflon and underground gas and water mains so is non reactive.

It really is just a momentary thing when the needle goes in. No after pain at all and if you look after them healing is fairly straight forward.

Don’t get complacent and forget about them though, I’ve nearly ripped mine out a couple of times bending over and hooking them up in fishnets. That’s agony. I have a slight tear that I’m waiting to heal from a couple weeks back.

Have managed to vibrate the balls off my hood piercing too, so everything has its pitfalls

The Bermuda Triangle in Suffolk

Had my nipple pierced about 8 years ago. Watched it being done and no numbing spray. Pain was minimal but the upside for me was I had this amazing orgasmic feeling for about 2 hrs as I went shopping around Asda

I was advised to take a chocolate bar to have afterwards can't remember why tho.

Chocolate bar or sugary drink is actually a good point to add. Your body can go into a form of shock and you feel faint. It doesn’t happen to everyone. It does to me

even having blood taken, I can crash. It’s the downside of very low blood pressure. It varies from around 76 over 47 to 100 over 60.

I love piercings on women (and Tattoos). The pierced women I’ve been with certainly find they enhance pleasure for them. So, in my completely selfish opinion, I would encourage anyone thinking about getting a piercing to do it (and I would love to see it afterwards

VCH is a sinch the pain lasts for a second and the healing time is is a few weeks without any pain or discomfort

Nipples on the other hand were very painful and took nearly a year to fully heal, Obviously everyone is different

They get cought on clothing far more than the VCH and then become painful

I jave a pubic and that one hurt whilst being done. Think it was a 8 week heal time but did hurt being done and when caught on things.

Like the idea of a lorum but want it on the top not underneath by testicles.

I had both of mine done at the same time and I was expecting the pain to be a lot worse - but it really wasn’t that bad. So glad I did it - they do take a while to heal completely and if they get knocked it can hurt a bit. But when a guy plays with them....... I love it!

Didnt feel a thing , but then i have removed my own stitches on an underground train as i was late for work & was on a last chance excuse wise.

Luckily it was a week agter & i did get the stitches through a work accident

You’re unlikely to need painkillers afterwards, as it’s more “uncomfortable” than sore. If you really think it’s goig to hurt, take some about half a hour before you go in to get them done. If you do do that, tell the piercer. Again if they are a reputable piercer, you will get a brief medical questionnaire which also asks about any drugs you take or have taken.

My pubic hurt whilst being done. I wanted it vertical but the piercer wouldnt do it that way as she said it would migrate out to easily. So had it horizontally instead

speaking of which. The guiche was all going ok. I was lying on the couch/table thing and my piercer was talking me through what he was doing. I was fine until he explained that the needle he found most effective, was a horse’s cannula. If I didn’t have my jeans and pants round my ankles (for the record someone I never do in other situations

) I might have run away! It was intensely painful at the time, before subsiding. I even walked (albeit a bit like John Wayne) the 15 minutes back to my car.

Sorry, you asked about the lorum. I’ve had it done twice. It nips quite a bit as the needle is wiggled through the flesh. Minimal blood and it subsides to a bit of an uncomfortable throb.

Rejection is a real issue. Not just migration. I had it done twice because the first fell out during sex. Unlike ears etc, the hole closes up remarkably fast. Had my then partner had a pair of pliers in her house, I could maybe have saved it. We are talking hours not days for these ones to close up. I waited over a year to get it redone. I’ve avoided the original site with the new one slightly higher up the shaft.

I definitely preferred the first one, as it “dangled” more and hit nicely off partners’ clits from behind. The redone one still works, just not as dangly.

The pubic is definitely tempting , as it has the potential of clit stimulation from other positions

Healing time is very difficult to measure. I think it was about two months.

I had sex after two weeks (the partner and I were fluid bonded anyway) with no discomfort from me and a very big smile from her.

I've had both mines done and didn't even feel them apparently I had great nipple's to pierce, healing time was around 9 months for me but think everyone is different, must say around mother nature time they do get a little tender

Someone recommended breast pads as well for the first few weeks haha luckily mother nature doesn’t visit due to my contraception

Use reputable piercer who specialises in genital piercings etc

NEVER use a loofer or one of those sponges as when you catch the piercing it hurts like a mother!

Be prepared for meets to think due to the fact you have your nipples pierced it must mean you want them twisting off!Ha!

Had mine done about 25 years ago. As I recall pain was bearable. They used a freeze spray and a hollow needle. Healing time was quite long, about 2 months or so. I used tea tree oil on the area. Buy the highest grade surgical steel rings or bars. Keep it clean and freely moving after healing as well. I always wash and rotate in Bath or shower. I have never had any problems with my piercing and have always enjoyed the heightened sensation it gives my nipple. Enjoy
