hiding from cock pics.

I know quite a few areas in the country are already covered, but until very recently Hertfordshire wasn't included in them.

I'm pleased to say that if you live in Hertfordshire you can now have a free STI kit posted to your home and then you can post it back for the results which will then be delivered by text.

The service is completely free and I'm sure you would agree a very good service to have available.

My local clinic is extremely busy and hard to get an appointment.

I normally get my tests at the Terrence Higgins trust at the Vanilla Alternative, on bi nights, i feel it's great to have a few different methods of keeping up to date with sexual health, so I'm keen to spread this information.

Much safe loving to all x

There and to the left a bit

They've been doing it for a while now - think they told me about it when I went in March or April although I have yet to use it, but hear the speed of response is just as quick as if you go to the clinic in person.

You can order the kit at sh24.org.uk

Yup, done one myself the other week. I think there's 4 or 5 different things you can get tested for, including blood work for HIV and syphilis

They are introducing in Leeds I think. Do they cover everything that would be done in a comprehensive std screen at a clinic?

When the clinic told me about it I asked that very question and they assured me it would - as a bisexual guy who indulges in anal on occasion it was important to be sure that it did.

That said I do rather like the added reassurance you get from going to the clinic and the one I use I've never had to wait more than 20-30 minutes to be seen.

You are lucky. Leeds is overwhelmed and it took me 3 hours last time I went for a check up. I have heard Manchester is similar. Long term fabbers tell me that it’s a recent development in Leeds, presumably caused by budget cuts.

norwich

Yeah, this service is great. I used it myself a couple of weeks ago. Ordered it online, sent the tests back and received a text with the results. No embarrassment of going and sitting in a clinic and talking to a nurse

I used one of these kits too, quick turnaround but I had to prick my damn finger three times to get the blood out!

I guess the city centre ones always will be busy - the one I usually go to is in a smallish town not far from here so is never too bad. Like the OP I've also used THT when they visit VA as well which is usually fairly easy.

I didn’t know THT did that. They’ve done some really good work over decades [reviews charity subscription list].

They have mobile testing teams that visit various places - chatting to them once they had some horror stories to tell as you can imagine - think they quite liked coming to VA as people there are generally responsible and informed about their sexual health, which made a refreshing change for them.

I normally come to the VA festival as well, I'm not sure if they will be there this year, but hopefully.

They have plenty of condoms and lube they hand out also, and are really lovely people.

Shout out to the gorgeous Emma..xx
