Try it at home alone first - just use normal clothes pegs and see if you hate it or not. The pain comes when they are removed.

The first time I tried anything to do with nipple clamps it was clothes pegs.

Fast forward a couple of years and now I've tried nipple clamps with chains on...

Also at home I've got metal clothes pegs...(they bloody hurt)

I've also tried chopsticks too.

But it's the sensation...the intensity and when I'm just on the cusp of orgasm pulling them off with the chain between my teeth or having them cropped off

I'd really love to try clover clamps next.

As was said earlier clothes pegs are a good way to start. Just make sure you place the behind the tip of the nipple rather than actually on it so on the areola and yes the main part of the pain comes when they are removed, make sure you breathe deeply as the pain subsides as this really helps..

Clovers are good as you can hang things from them. If you really want to up the ante buy the cheap ones and remove the plastic covers, hiding underneath are crocodile clips, those little sods really hurt!

Wooden are good but if you just have the plastic ones they will work just as well.

Get adjustable clamps and work your way up. Don’t use pegs they are really sore. Once on you get used to the pain until they’re bumped or tweaked and the big rush comes as they are removed.

A good test is to put a peg on the end of your nose, it gives a good indication as to strength. We wouldn't suggest doing this in the supermarket though lol

I find there's a couple of "phases" to clamps/pegs each of which have their own sensation

Firstly when they're first applied the initial pinching pain in your nipples (or any other part of the skin they might be used on).

Next up comes a slightly deadened sensation as they numb

Then the absolutely delicious pain as they're removed and the blood rushes back

And finally a warming sensation if the nipples are rubbed and caressed tenderly afterwards

Oh it can be - but then having my nipples played with usually is

Only slight word of warning I should have mentioned - be careful not to leave them on for too long or have them too tight - just go with what you are comfortable with.

Also another thing to consider is using pegs on the soft flesh of your boobs rather than (or as well as) your nipples - sensations are I believe similar but obviously there's space for more than one
