What would you do if you were messaging someone and when you sent a face pic they came back saying I know you but then point blank refuse to tell you who they are?

I’ve been recognised on here a few times.

The first guy tried to be cryptic and thought I’d be ashamed or something, he also thought he was anonymous but it was obvious who he was... so I addressed him by name and suddenly he wasn’t so cocky!

I am all out in the open, and if someone recognises me that is fine! I’m discreet, so if I recognise someone I certainly won’t mention it as I’m sure not everyone is as open as me.

I had one guy on here who I’m friends with on a Facebook message me via Facebook to say he’d seen me on Fab. I did ask him if Fabswingers messaging system was broken... he said no... so I asked why he felt the need to message me via Facebook and not Fab! He was unfriended swiftly!

File it at the back of the brain and forget about it meantime. You only need to recall the file if an acquaintance makes some remark in the future that leaves you a bit puzzled.

That happened to me with one of the mums from my daughters school. I’d fancied her from a far for ages. She contacted me on fab and I got the shock of my life when I realised it was her.

We played as well, she was amazing- then she gave it all up. Gutted!

That’s quite shitty, and sounds like a very sad creep who likes the thought of knowing who you are and you don’t know him.

Don’t worry about it, if he exposes you he will be exposing himself, and I doubt many would do so. X

That’d be out of order. It’s almost blackmail. She wouldn’t tell me who she was only to tease me.

This happened to me recently. A guy said he knew me from work but he wouldn't show me his face or say who he was.

Bizarrely, he claimed to be surprised when I said I found this somewhat creepy.

That's not fair and he must have something to hide, obviously not a genuine person.

I'd be pretty chuffed if I knew someone on here, could lead to some great fun.

There is the alternative that he's an idiot playing mind games with you. He doesn't actually know you but it's a way of getting your attention ? wish I'd thought of that hahaha

There are some strange cookies here .... apparently some men pretend to be a couple or a woman !!

You're assuming the person is telling the truth. Don't. Might as easily be some sad fucker trying to play mind games with you as much as someone who does actually know you.

This happened to me too - I sent a face pic to a local couple and they replied with my real name saying that they were going to send my pics around work anonymously.

Nothing actually ever happened but I still feel sick now at the thought of it.

I’m sure that kind of thing is illegal but still it could have been very embarrassing.

2 years have passed now with nothing appearing and I’ve still no idea who it was

We have been chatting to couple recently not even local..we eventually exchanged face pics, a few days later I got a message from the lady saying she passed me in a supermarket carpark a few hours before hand and she did.. so small world really

Could of taken those details of some kind of social media. Could of found you on one of those by Google searching your face pic or other pics from here.

Then again you may of met. Either way he's showing a type of controlling behaviour, of which he seems to find fun and or funny.

Block him and try to forget about it.

From what you've described, you can deduce:

* This is someone in one of your networks, but not necessarily even known to you, a friend of a friend for example

* The person is/was on Fab Swingers

* The person is immature

Beyond that, I can't see much more.

That said, I recall a few years ago a chap who came round to mine for sex.

Sometime later he was back in touch for more, but for reasons I cannot recall now I wasn't interested. Nothing impolite or anything, it just didn't suit the circumstances.

Anyway, he dropped my real name into the internet conversation, which came as a shock.

i ceased contact at that point.

The only explanation I could think of was that I knew he worked for the electricity company, and it must be quite easy to match a supply address with an account containing my name etc.

That struck me as insidious, and affirmed my previous reluctance to get engaged with him.

We have been recognised by a few people and only one local and one from work but all nice and no nasty comments. Would hate to think people were nasty about knowing us but it would be nicer for you if they told you who they were and how they know you, nothing worse then cryptic clues because now your left wondering who the hell is it.

I've seen a few people on here that I know some I've messaged and shown who I was and we have just been friends ,if someone recognised me I'd like them to do the same it would bug me if someone knew who I was but didn't send me a picture constantly be sat in the pub looking about and catch someone looking at you and think your on fab it's you

Yes he has and the only way he would know is if he knew us.

He has also now deleted his account which leaves us wondering even more as he was only just recently verified for the first time, so don't think he will be spreading anything about us being on here as seems he would have a lot more to lose.
