"So sex is out then...... Just saying Doing someone doggy over a zimmer probably isn't the sexiest experience lol" I had a very serious spinal injury a few years ago. I look physically fine and function normally. It just sometimes takes me a few days to get over a sex session but I see it as worth it. The Zimmer frame made me laugh, as I get a spinal support organisation’s magazine delivered. An ex used to call it my “wheelchair porno”

"Wow! Half an hour into the thread and no single guys offering their massage services? Maybe there's a semi-important football match on later that has distracted them from thinking about sex. Or something. " Hey, if I had a cock and I car I would be offering but the chest may be a bit off-putting for them I don't care about the football one iota! Those legs though...now those I could care about

"I'm away working for a few days, I come home and find a message for an incredibly fit, well hung young man who happens to be in Bristol and would like to meet up. Corrrr, yes, I'm thinking. Out the bath, make-up done and pulling on the first fishnet stocking when . . . my back seizes up and I'm lying in a crumpled heap on the floor in agony. That was 16 hours ago and I'm still in agony, reduced to crawling around the house on my hands and knees. Back pain. Excruciating. I dialled NHS111 and spoke on the telephone to the GP. It seems pain-killers and as much movement as possible is the only remedy. (I don't think tumbling down the stairs this morning, screaming with the pain, was quite what she had in mind.) So my excitement about getting laid yesterday has turned into a nightmare of an existence, reduced to an invalid crawling around the house and trying to find relief from the spasms. Do others have experience of back pain? What did you do that helped? I'm taking solpadeine to ease the pain. " You need much stronger than that! Can you get out at all or can someone get to you? You need an assessment before any one can comment really... I'm a sports physio btw

"I find heat pressed to the area can help. " Hot and cold, yes. I'll try that. Some chilled cans in the fridge will do for the cold. Thanks

"I don't think I've ever had nerve pain, so I had to google the difference. No, I'd say it muscular - something twisted or torn. I had a milder episode about two or three years ago and, from memory, it was about 2 weeks before I was back on my feet properly. My kids sent me a gift voucher to see a chiropractor a few weeks later and that was beneficial. Funnily enough, they sent me another voucher from Groupon for my birthday in March. I did not do anything with it - but I will now. I think it expired after 4 months, which means there might be a couple of weeks left before it expires. " Chiropractors are great. Can be a bit sorer after for a while but they have eased my back and shoulders loads before

"An osteopath or a chiropractor might help. Also accupuncture. My back has seized down one side. It’s agony. " I've an appointment with a chiropractor a week today. I also need to understand what exercises I can do specifically for that area of the body.

I also need to understand what exercises I can do specifically for that area of the body." Sounds like the same problem I get occasionally. Deep muscle spasms, they absolutely floor me when they happen. I think they have been caused by leaning over a work bench the wrong height for me for years. The doctor gives me cocodomal, diazapan some anti inflammatory and something else to stop stomach ulcers from the other 3. Then I spend a week walking around bent over and leaning to one side feeling like I'm having a permanent out of body experience. I go and see an osteopath for a month or two once I'm upright again, she also specialises in deep tissue massage. The exercises that the physiotherapist gave me concentrate on core balance. Definitely go to your GP and seek professional help. I hate the spaced out feeling from the drugs but they really help relax the muscles and ease the pain. Lots of sympathy for you!
