We did post this on another forum a few days ago but have had no replies: nothing - just a few single guys seizing it as an opportunity to slide into our DMs (sorry but not interested; we don’t care if you are very wealthy and want to show us the city. Keep it to the forum!)

Basically, we are heading to Amsterdam in a few weeks and want to visit a club while we are there. We have been to clubs in the UK.

Fun4Two sounds amazing but it’s an hour’s taxi ride away and out of ‘Dam. We know we could take the train there but then it’s still going to be tough getting back in the early hours. Any tips if we chose this club?

The other option which we have been told is great is Fata Morgana. Has anyone been on a Saturday and, if so, can you advise us on what it’s like in terms of clientele (approx age range) and also about the dress code. Is it dress down upon entry? If you have been, in hindsight is there anything you would like to have known. I read somewhere on a previous post/forum search that one club, for instance, stresses no bare feet - even during dress down - so guys often wear Toms. I can’t remember which club it is now but boxers and formal shoes wouldn’t be a good look if that rule was enforced and we weren’t prepared upon arrival. The site for FM doesn't give much away either and it states specifically that they don’t have an email address so could do with a bit of help and sharing of experiences...

Finally, does anyone else have any experiences or recommendations they can make for us while we are in Amsterdam? We have been once before and watched some of the live shows but not tried a club over there.

If you do a forum search for Fata Morgana you will see lots of posts. We went on a Sunday and had an amazing time. Stunning club.

I recall from many years ago an online video by Fun4Two, it was really enticing, but I do remember that (for a price) you could book on-site accommodation.... yuo could look into that perhaps ? x

There is a Campanile hotel just down the road from Fun4two. They can order a taxi at the front desk.... there will ve lots if other couples going too.

Not helpful for you now, but we’re planning to head there in November too. It looks great. In terms of reviews, I’ve heard Fun4two can be hit and miss.

Fata Morgana is the best, stunning. Yes footwear my hubby wore Tom's & boxers, I wore heels & body suit.

Saturday night is busiest & be good mix of couples. Buffet is included in price xx

FM is a brilliant club, we went a few years ago and the facilities are superb. One of the best clubs we've been to.

Think it was a Sunday and the deal included all food and alcoholic drinks.

It is a fair way out of the city, but we had the car so it wasn't a problem.

Beware of taxis offering high prices for a return to the city at closing time.

We have already booked and paid for accommodation (bang in the centre) so it’s a case of travelling to whererever we go. The idea to go to a club arose after booking the trip so we might stay a bit closer to a club next time and book a trip around it.

We heard Fun4Two is arguably a younger and more attractive crowd (which appeals!) but then some people have also suggested that this can attract posers and give it more of a “sexy nightclub” feel rather than it being a club where people go with the intention to swing. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

If it wasn’t for distance we’d try Fun4two but if Fata Morgana is closer and still really good we will end up there!

We have only tried Fun4two and it really is something you have to do once in your life!

It's best to drive down, and stay over locally - there's a hotel quite close by, and several B&Bs in the village. Once we were staying at a B&B and we were just checking with the lady about the front door key, explaining that we might be late back. She said "Oh are you going to Fun4two? I might see you down there a bit later!"

If you like a lot of action, it's best to go on one of their "Sexperts" or "Hardcore" nights. Important to remember the strict dress code - only lingerie/undies/sexwear allowed, after a certain time. That includes guys, so you'll need your best satin boxers.

It sounds expensive but the price is all inclusive including a good supper.

It does tend to be very glam but not exclusively young, plenty of people happy to play with us oldies.
