Was curious how many females or males have taken a sex toy with them (i.e vibrator) on holiday and been stopped and bag checked at the airport by customs. Or been caught using the toy by housemaids etc?

Our last trip at Easter to the costa Blanca we brought toys. I had assumed with Ryan airs new policy that they’d take all luggage when I checked in the luggage for check in. Long story short our bags had fluids in them thus required searching. Very embarrassed when security went through one particular bag in which had strap on, dildos and vibs. I had to shout don’t take things out of that bag with all the kids around. Big red face and a lot of funny looks off the guys in security although must add they didn’t search that bag as much as the others one of my moisturisers got through ! X HLB

Customs would much rather find a dildo in your bag than a gun, snake or 120ml suncream .

They really don’t care if you have sex toys in your bags , they are used to it and Spanish and Portuguese airports sell them.

A mate told me that he used to love finding the vibrating bag when I was loading planes, leaving the bag at the bottom of the steps or at the aircraft door to be dealt with in full view of the other passengers.

Or finding the sex toys when a passengers bag burst open, he used to put the toys on the reclaim belts, then the open bag.

Don't forget to remember to remove the batteries from the toys.

Im sure there are alot of baggage handlings only too willing to share passengers life on the conveyor belt lol.

My misses wore a wee vibe through customs to Greece a couple of year ago, set off the buzzer, and had to be searched, I was pissing myself laughing, she fessed up though and had to remove it, talk about laugh, but! A black eye later for me but she saw the funny side in the end. Didn’t half hurt?

We took a rubber butt plug with us last year. We were only taking carry on luggage so it went through the scanner at security.

The security guy pulled our bag out for inspection and was trying to work out what he was looking at. After a couple of minutes rummaging he turns the scanner screen to us and asks 'what is that?' pointing at something that looked very much like a rocket propelled grenade

I took it out discreetly and showed it to him. Poor guy looked a bit embarrassed and waved us through.

When i used to work in 1 of the licensed shops in Soho

I used to get asked regularly what should they do if caught

going through customs .

I have a perfect explanation that will never leave you embarrassed ever avain or in future.

This is for my son/daughters who is disabled after losing a

limb serving there country , they are very self conscious &

find it difficult to meet people.

No customs officer in the world is going to laugh at you or make comment about your toys after that.

You could say handicapped but i think that is only for people who know they are good liars .

P.S Buy new toys for the purpose or keep the boxes

OK. Our story.... waited in line in Bournemouth airport to check bags in (we were going to Spice before its demise). Ross put suitcase down with a thump in front of checkin lady. Loud rumble from case. Not only had a vibrator turned itself on, but it was against the side of the plastic case so it was making a terrible rattling noise. We had to open the case, fish it out and turn it off. The funniest thing was watching the checkin lady trying not to laugh.

Security and customs at airports have seen it all.

They are looking for things that are illegal or a danger to safety.

Sex toys do not fall into that category - normally - so any embarrassment is simply reflects an individual's own shame or guilt at being associated with sexual pleasure.

did you know it is illegal to board an aircraft in the UK wearing chicken fillets in your bra?

I didn't until, I read a newspaper article about how a prison has banned female visitors from wearing them, because they were being used to smuggle drugs. The rule brought the prison into line with airports, the article said.

I googled it and true enough, the rules require breast enhancers to be carried in the hold luggage.

Well, I'd been through airport security countless times and never knew. I've set off the alarm on occasion and had to go through these whole-body scans.

But no-one has ever asked me to get my tits out. And I've never seen anyone else asked to empty the contents of their bra.

I can understand the rule, I guess - it could be stuffed with Semtex rather than silicon. But as rules go, it must be pretty well unenforceable.

I went to Dublin with my best friends and bought some sexy items inc a new vibrator. I stupidly put it in my hand luggage and yes I was stopped at security and they made a very big scene about it including holding it up in the air and saying in a loud voice 'is this yours Madame?'

I was embarrassed but took it all in good humour like it was intended.

I would suggest packing in your luggage that goes in the hold,

They are filled with a liquid (gel/paste/etc) so they are covered by the current liquid rules - that is the only reason they are prohibited. However it is a difficult rule to enforce - also because the chicken fillets are detachable they differ from implants before anyone questions that side of it lol
