I suppose for me I came here initially for the sex (who didn't) but ended up staying for the social side.....

I think my views on it have changed.. and what I get out of it has far exceeded what I would have hoped for......

if that makes sense.....

now... it is a bonus more than anything else.....

Good question. We didn't actually realise we were getting into swinging lol.

For us it was just to satisfy the question was Kate bi/not... We found on our first meet - she is lol and that swinging was for us.

Overall its been MUCH more than we ever expected. Met some great people, done things we presumed would only ever stay fantasy and can't wait for our next meet!

it did at first

i first started meeting about 10 years ago when i was married, because it was all new and i had so much i wnated to try it was ace

now days i find it all a bit samey, being single and not driving really limits my meets as i have to stay close to home so cant really go round different clubs any more and i turn down loads of parties because they to far, none of the socials are close enough for me to get to, ive tried all my fantasies several times over plus some so now i seem to be doing the same thing, going to same clubs, meeting single guys in hotels, im finding it really hard to find new and exciting thinsg to do

i do sometimes actually turn down meets because i really cant be arsed going to the same club again or doing yet another hotel meet

We have been swinging for nearly 2 years so in terms of others' experiences we are still fairly new.

On the whole I've had positive experiences. I look on it as a secret life where I can explore my sexual fantasies within a safe and acceptable arena. It gives me an outlet for flamboyance and I enjoy exposing my exhibitionist side.

I didn't realise that the social side was as fun as it is. Socials and parties are a brilliant way of meeting up and mixing with people with a similar outlook.

I've also witnessed a negative destructive side, people using swinging as a last attempt to liven up a stale marriage, of people being encouraged to participate rather than it being their choice, jealousy, vindictiveness, moral judgements aired.

It can be thrilling and it can be destructive - hopefully most of our experiences are tipped in favour of the former

We were like kids in a sweetshop for a few years and now swinging has settled into being a less urgent, lovely, sensual part of our lives. We started relatively late and envy those young people we see in clubs, wish we'd taken it up much earlier.

Love the scene, can be hard work at time but its worth it in the end

sometimes it gets a bit like omg its taking over our lives and we have no time for anything else,,, and when that happens we normally take a break and do some stuff with our vanilla friends. but over all its great, better than we expected when we first thought about trying it.

It has certainly challenged my stereotyped view of swinging and swingers. The media does like to paint swinging as a middle aged pastime, but from being in here only a few weeks its opened my eyes to the fact people are becoming sexual aware and liberated much younger. I am looking forward to being able to say I am a swinger when we finally get to meet somone hehe

The early days were very exciting. Our first club visits and our first house parties in particular certainly lived up to our expectations.

We met loads of lovely people, and a few weirdos too, lol.

Then there's the attraction thing. We struggled sometimes to get both of us to agree at times so one of us ended up "giving way" or taking one for the team, in our quest for sexual excitement.

Now, three years down the line we're a little more selective in choosing our prospective partners.

We haven't played this year due to to family stuff, and although I'm in here more or less every day, I honestly don't know, or more to the point am not really bothered if we don't play again.

We're not "craving" or even seeking extra marital sex at the moment, so the future is pretty cloudy as far as our swinging life is concerned.

Well I need to answer this in two ways, first as a single, then as a half of a couple.

Me as a solo went into the lifestyle with slightly wet toes from some years back with my late wife. I wanted to experence some sex without the hassle of relationships or guilt. I hoped to make some friends along as well as well. I was not disapointed, in fact I soon found I got more from the social buzz than from the sex. Loved going to clubs and meeting interesting people and finding out their views and experences. Made some good friends and had a great laugh with many of them.

Then I met Jackie at Club one night, yes we had sex, bloody good sex at that. But we just chatted and hit it off so well. We became fuckbuddies for a while then it soon became so much more. Our friends noticed it first and said we were "loved up", we both laughed and denied it even to ourselves.

Well once we both admitted to each other how we felt the scence changed a fraction for me. Not for the better or the worse, just changed. Now I get more pleasure from playing not with other women or couples, in fact it is very rare for me to do so. I love to see Jackie getting the attention and feed of the buzz she gets from playing. We now have an even bigger circle of friends and even more laughs then ever before. The scence has been a huge social catalyst for us and we long hope it may continue.

We have seen some great sights in the scene and saw some people fall as well. This lifestyle can be a very double edged sword at times.

Do I or we have any plans to change? No! We may evolve some more within the scene and that can only be good.

yeah have met lots of great people especially on my couples site wi hubby. i think sometimes its frustrating when peeps mess you about but at the same time there are loads that dont. never thought there would be so many people into swinging before i started lol just goes to show.

Yeah for us (Present partner and also with ex partner who is still my best friend and comes clubbing with us sometimes)

It has been excellent journey where as far as the clubbing for us has been concerned. Going to all the different clubs around the UK and Europe has been really interesting and we have met some really cool people.

I am loving it! As a married, but playing in secret it's hard and maybe some people think its wrong it then I have my reasons! It has given me my sex life back and my confidence has grown to the point I feel good about myself again! I am happier and know its due to the lovely guys I have met here!

It's nice to know that most have become good friends ot just damn good lovers!

I think the above from Jack and Kate just about sums up our feelings on the whole scene.

The Social side we cannot fault and would not want to be without it in our lives, but still waiting for the 'perfect' meet! If such a thing actually exists.

We dont really get to meet as much as we used to but its always an event and keeps it fresh for me. We have met some wonderful people, made some lovely friends, laughed and laughed and laughed. Added to that I feel free sexually and very selfconfident. Of course there are always downsides but they pale into insignificance next to the wonderful experiences. If it all ends tomorrow we have some really wild and great memories. Hope it doesnt though! Have some more fantasies to fulfil!

no, i dont think it has, to the point where each of us is questioning whether to continue or not.

like has been said, there is a lot of groundwork to go through to actually get near meeting, only for someones cat to fall sick, or friends from out of town to arrive without warning, whatever.

the few meets we have had have been 'ok' although personally, i wish that drink didnt play such a large part in things as it impares your judgement, and 1 meet we had, the woman was very sexy, but too d*unk to actually get involved much, so may as well have just met her fella.

we will take our time and evaluate our future prospects over the xmas period. i hope we continue as have spoke to some really nice sounding people, but its a joint decision.

Yes....and more so. I've met some lovely people, my sex life is more than satisfacory...and at times is fantastic (okay there have been a few disappointments and let-downs along the way, but cest la vie).

I've certainly broadened my horizons. Have a very happy relationship with my favourite sexy girlie, made a few friends for life and the crowning joy for me has been meeting someone who has turned out to be the love of my life.
