Couple of things to try...

Have an 'insurance wank' beforehand. This is probably of more use to youngsters who are a bit too excitable.

Whilst in the act and before you sense that you're about to climax, withdraw and gently squeeze the base of your cock close to where it joins your ball sack. This will stem the flow of blood temporarily to your cock, causing the sensation to wain slightly. You should find that you can then carry on again without worrying that you're about to cum.

Best advice so far, though, is to speak to your GP or a sex therapist about it.

I'd agree with speaking to your gp.

However, I'd also take a look at the psychological side of things. I've found that the subconcious can really have a very physical effect on sexual performance, both in premature and delayed ejaculation. So maybe worth asking yourself a few questions.

Good luck as its one of those things that can sometimes feel like you're caught in a catch 22. On the other hand it's all "fixable" with the right approach.

Most of male ejaculation control is in the mind, so anything that helps get your head in a better place is good. You need to be calm, in control and not getting too turned on about the person you are doing good things to.

There's a decent sexual health clinic at the LGI. Ask you doctor to refer you if the other suggestions don't help.

You can also get some stuff called EMLA cream. It's available over the counter at the chemists. The cream is a topical anesthetic, with your foreskin pulled back, rub a pea sized amount into the head of your cock and leave it there for 30 mins (40 if circumcised), use this time to do nice things to your bed partner. Then wipe the cream off and slip in! You can't use a condom though, the cream attacks latex!

I used it a while ago while going through a similar patch. I went from lasting seconds to 30 mins plus with the cream and a few excitement control techniques.

Finally you can also google Kaplan method (don't do an image search for Dr Kaplan, she's scary looking). It's a 4 stage training method that teaches you to find your "point of no return" accurately so you can calm things down before you get too carried away. You have to follow the plan properly to get the results though, no cutting corners.

A long time ago, in a galaxy, far far away ....well, not that long ago, i was swinging with a terrific woman (MMF, but husband never participating), and I had this problem. I have a similar problem. I love sex and enjoy every aspect of it all, but often don't manage to cum at all with a new sexual partner. Luckily for me, I love the road as much as the destination!

Just go with it and work on your recovery times.

I usually find i need to get the first one out of the way so i can concentrate on something other than not cumming. So with that in mind work on being able to get up again as soon as possible. You should then be able to pretty much cum on demand rather than it happen when i wants

Try thinking of other things like the daily routine for the next day or week and jobs to do etc etc and this may help if you shut your eyes so are not confronted by the site before you. You can try 'dry cumming' in other words stop thrusting just before you feel you're going to cum, but stay inside, and if you get the moment right you'll have a small orgasm without ejaculating and losing your hard-on.
