What is attracts you?

What is attracts you to women or men’s and couples profiles when looking throw them apart from the obvious things for me it’s the whole package in the end from looks to personality.

It's a complex question. Out in the real world, a mixture of looks, personality, attitude will initially attract me to someone.

In the internet world, then attraction medium available is mainly visual so I need to be physically attracted to someone from their pic's before I'd consider discovering the personality.

As a couple looking for a local long term preferably single man, we are looking for a package.

There has to be a connection, we are therefore looking for someone that is relatively pleasing to the Eye, someone we can converse with, someone we can be friendly with and someone we can be comfortable with.

99% of the men here get it completely wrong!

The pictures first. If they're tasteful and I find them attractive then on to profile text.

If its all fuck pics, obscure body parts or gaping orifices then I'm done straight away with the profile.

If the text is appealing, then I'll send a message with a face pic.

When I'm meeting that is.

To be honest as most of my interaction with others here tends to start off the back of forum posts a lot of the time it's their forum presence that is the initial attraction - it may then lead me to look at pics and the profile text to see if there might be a connection and chemistry but the initial thing that draws me in most of the time is the way someone posts in the open forums, you can gauge a lot from that

It's more a case of what puts me off, text speak, bad writing, blurry pics, general lack of effort, Sydney University. Someone that hints at more sensual relaxed fun rather than hard shagging usually catches my eye.

For me it's the text. There doesn't have to be a lot of it, although that can help. I look for signs of personality, imagination, a gentleness of character, literacy, some point of connection or interest, similarity in what we're here for. Anything that makes me think yes, I could tolerate this person's company. Or at least want to find out more.

After that it's pictures. A load of cock photos or any other graphic genital pics turns me off, as do photos where it's obvious they've made zero effort. Lastly I'll have a look at their interests but that's not so important unless they tick things that I'm really not into. Veris are irrelevant if I like the look of someone.

Quite right too.

You could meet somebody, find them incredibly attractive, but then they say or do something, or exhibit a side of their personality you find repugnant.

We couldn't get it going with somebody we considered an arsehole, regardless of what they looked like. The same undoubtedly applies the other way. If somebody considered us to be arseholes it's understandable they wouldn't want to get naked with us.

More often than not the forum is a great way to find out that people aren't suitable from a personality point of view. It can be disappointing when the missus drools over some guy she likes the look of only to find he's a nasty piece of work or a thick racist etc.
