"I can't help but feel that this post smacks of 'look at how much money I have to spend', I may be wrong but that's how this reads to me" Really wasn't meant in that way what-so-ever. It was just to see if there were any fellow drivers as always meeting people when charging and thought it could be a time for a good social.

"Haha quality isnt great at all for a 100k car but cant fault the fact i do over 4000 miles a month and in fuel thats £750..." I take it that is £750 of electricity, I make that 18.75p per mile if my maths is correct.

"Haha quality isnt great at all for a 100k car but cant fault the fact i do over 4000 miles a month and in fuel thats £750..." If my 4x4 cost £750 for 4000 miles I'd bin it immediately. They sound a load of overpriced garbage to me.

"£750 @ £1.30/litre (assuming diesel) = 577 litres = 128 gallons 4000/128 = 31.25MPG which is about right for a large car/4x4. This is 19p per mile if you ignore the overly optimistic manufacturer claims. Anyway, I have an electric car (no, not a Tesla) and I get lots of people chatting to me when I am at charging points. Sadly it is always guys or middle age couples. For reference, my car costs about 3p per mile but I often charge for free so less than that if I do. I've no idea about Teslas but the op is probably saving at least £5k a year on fuel alone and that is assuming no charging at the free superchargers, not to mention cheaper servicing, no road tax and other savings. Electric cars cost a bit more than their traditional counterparts but not as bad as it first seems." That is bang on. This wasn't meamt to be a car discussion post lol, just seeing if i can turn a charging stop into fun. And no sadly not a get away driver. Just someone that has offices around the country and trains dont work for me.
