I know this is used to delay women's periods, but has anyone actually taken it during a period to make it stop?

Wondering if it will work?

Mother Nature is scuppering my plans and I ain't happy

I did once and it did stop it... you shouldn’t really but if you get them down you as soon as possible... it sends your cycle to pot and you might be extra heavy etc but it worked for me!

I've used it twice and both times it made me ill and spoilt my plans. I don't recommend it at all.

It should stop but will take a few days, might not be worth doing by the time it takes effect

I used to take it for beach holidays and had to start taking it 2 weeks before my period was due and it worked but a side effect is heavy facial hair! The second holiday I took it too late a week before my period and my period came. It’s all about planning ahead with this medication. Also my Pharmacist was not happy I had been prescribed it for a social activity so I had her attitude to deal with. Since then I’ve never taken it. Not keen on the side effects OP

This^^

My ex took it and it worked but Mother Nature really punished her for the next couple of months.

Probably best to postpone or embrace vampire sex!!

I have and it did stop, BUT I paid for it big time when I stopped taking it.

The pain was horrendous and the bleeding was much heavier than usual. So I will not try it again just for a shag, really not worth the days of feeling like shit.

There is 2 different dosage of it one will stop it buy you have to take it 3 days before and 3 times a day at the same times, one is like the pill make sure you get the correct one cos my gp gave me the wrong one it was only by chance I asked when I picked it up but once you've started I don't think it will stop it

This!

After I took it my periods were very heavy and took months to get back to normal. The proper use of this is for women who have problem periods and I don’t think a shag is worth putting your body through hell

Yes they do, if taken in advance. But what if your period has already started?

It will stop it, (think it may vary on different people) I’ve used it twice once prior to my period and once on day two. Both times worked. However the side effects were worse, heavy delayed periods and bad pmt. I’d just way up the reasons for and against. HTH X

2 ibuprofen every 4 hours, if you haven't already come on start the day before you're due on. 1st dose when you wake up and take upto 4 doses in any one 24hrs. You're period will be over within 2-3 days rather than lasting 5-7 x

To be honest, if the guy is a decent individual, he should have the grace to wait until your period is over. If not, then he's not worth bothering about.

I've got some tablets that I was going to take but came on before I got the chance.

I think you take them 4 times a day starting 3 days before you're due ~ which is ok if you're regular!

I've done that twice in the past it worked but my god when I did have a period it was extremely painful.

I'm confused now as to what to do, ggrrrrrr

I've got all childcare, travel and hotel arrangements made , I have arrangements to meet someone who has been patient in waiting for me to be free, so I will still be going ahead with my plans, may just have to sit and watch him enjoy himself with others and be frustrated instead

I was in a similar situation and me personally decided to take it. It was worth it , you only live once hey. Have you not tried beppy sponges ? (I personally haven’t but believe they are good) x

I think the variety of responses here show every woman is different and what works for one may not necessarily do the same for you. Unfortunately, you're only going to find out by trying!

Personally, I've used norethisterone quite a bit and it's been relatively trouble free. It's been a bit of a lifesaver to be honest as at the grand old age of 53 my periods have started to be a bit erratic over the last year or so and have inconveniently caught me out a few times (like the day before a meet). I've used it to delay coming on but I've also successfully used it a few times to stop my period once it started. Thing is, I always start off fairly light so take it at the very first sign (3 times a day) and within 24 hours the bleeding completely stops. Obviously I don't know how effective it'd be stopping a much heavier flow, or, if you tried to stop it a couple of days in. When you stop taking it, you then get your period 3 days later. Thankfully I can't say I've ever noticed it being heavier or more painful than usual though taking it for a week or more does make me feel uncomfortably bloated.

Lots of ways to play that don't involve a cock in a vagina if your period is a no go zone?

Just use some imagination?

Unless PIV is the holy grail of course. All personal preference I guess.

Good luck OP, one will always get negative feedback when posting very personal information about one’s body.

Hope the session is enjoyable after all this effort.
