I know Iceland quite well. The only scene is a little in Reykjavik and seldom in akureyri otherwise nothing. There's a bit of gay action in Reykjavik though if that's what you're into..

We’re doing the road trip so a different place every night, Reykjavik not being one of them, I suppose we thought Akureyri might have been the place

If you're doing route 1.. theres only akureyri or maybe egilstador to the east.. Nothing much in the south.. Do go through teh interior though if you have a good sized jeep.. its stunning..

I hope you have deep pockets though if you want to get d*unk lol..

Also check out godafoss and theres a blue lagoon type place around that area too.. dont bother much with the west fjords theres not much there.. I know I have visited patreksfjordur often enough.. lol
