I'm sure the vast majority of people don't consider their bodies to be perfect, yet it's not uncommon that I see pictures of bodies that look damn near perfect to me.

An interesting paradox?

A lot of people aren't vain enough to see that they're bodies are perfect.

Even if they are though, people see their bodies everyday, so what once could be seen as perfect and exciting, could now be seen as a bit average in their eyes. And you also have to consider that a lot of people are very critical of themselves.

I find it especially interesting because as a guy, much like a woman there are somatotypes and standards which are considered ‘THE shape’

For a man it’s chiseled abs, big arms and all the rest of it, and for women it’s gym bunny well toned slim with ribs on show.

But from my own personal opinion it’s not the favourite for most people. My body is bang on average I’d say, I don’t work out etc. But some people like it. Much as curvy women are my preference over slim. I’ve always been intrigued into the psychology of how the way people present themselves correlates to their life events etc.

Agree - I too have a very average body with no gym work yet sometimes I think where do people or society get this “perfect body” nonesense from?

The norm is the average look not some gym freak body with ripppling muscles - thanks but no thanks

No one is perfect, if you try to compare yourself to internet models all day you will end up depressed

When you live with it every day, you're going to notice all the flaws that others won't. Seems pretty normal to me

Oh I don’t compare other than for my psychoanalysis of people haha. Something I always do, uni done that now it’s just second nature lol.

But as far as my body is concerned I’m not ripped but I can put down food and beer like a champ, no effort required. I just “run” from time to time which I just wing it. Food makes me happy more than people’s opinions lol.

Most internet or magazine models are photo shopped to death before we see them.

One person's perfection will be a no thanks for someone else.

It's all about personal taste.

In a sleepy little village

Perfect people don't see themselves as that and often have really bad hang ups over their bodies. I made a comment to someone I used to play with and was shocked how negative he was about the way he sees himself

I had an ex with as near a perfect flawless body as i have ever encountered. In fact she was a professional model for a number of years.

She was also the most boring fuck imaginable.

Her attitude seemed to be "just look at my perfect body. What more do you need?".

A sexy adventurous personality is much more interesting.
