Why oh why do people ask why you are not interested in them to take offence by your reply?

Sometimes its hard work just to be nice!!

Normally let it ride but it bugged me tonight. This person just wouldn't let it go so ended up blocking him...love that button at times x

I do think its very rude to get nasty when i've spent so long working out how to say its because your pic makes you look like you escaped from broadmoor in an inoffensive and encouraging manner...

You're a grown up, if you don't want to meet someone all you have to do, if you want to, is say "no thanks" and leave it at that.

YOU'VE chosen to enter into communication with people you have no intention of meeting: why?

Cut off communication after "no" and you won't get any grief. Continue the "hard work" instead of getting to work on something hard and you'll only have yourself to blame.

We've been 'nice' in the past and said "no thanks" to those that don't interest us (if they had sent us a 'personal' message in the first place) and have gone on to block most of them to save them wasting their time contacting us again in the future.

There is nothing wrong with stopping interaction with someone that doesn't interest you (ie blocking) ....it's a site tool that really helps single women and couples concentrate on the ones that do interest you instead of wasting time massaging dented egos.

If we get a no thanks, we do not take it to heart. We know that everyone will not gel together, we just look some more.

When we send a no thanks, we seem to find the single guys just keep on trying, have not had the need to block anyone to date.

Our block list is massive. If we have exchanged messages with people and either party says no thanks, we hit the block button. This way we won't contact each other again.

I reply because I like to be decent with people, especially if they have taken the time to write a half decent message x
