Going to a bar alone

This has got to be hell right? Anyone do this to try and meet women/men? Any tips or tricks to help me from not standing in a corner, downing my pint, and then running off home? It would be nice if I had an opener. Like if I was looking to score some crack or something

I hate to break it to you but you probably could have recited a notice for planned road works and pulled... what with those "assets"

If you're going to do this you've got to be scientific about it. I suggest trying it on a completely new audience... say catch a train down to Bournemouth Let me know when you get here and where you are

I've also told someone I was from the local radio station and interviewed them using a Chupa Chup as a mike. Theye played along but did look slightly bemused....

You do realise the only way forward from here is to up the ante. I'm thinking go into a bar and ask loudly if anyone else thought the last jedi was the best star wars film. If you can pull from that then we know for a fact that no guys you meet are ever listening to what comes out of your mouth

Secondly they generally do listen..as they usually do exactly what they're told.

Ok. But what am I supposed to be doing? Just standing there like a lemon drinking a pint? I can deal with going to restaurants and cinemas by myself but going to the pub by myself kinda feels like gatecrashing a stranger's wedding

I can see I'm going to have to go down the pub one of these days and take you guys with me so you can feed me directions on what to do and what chat up lines to use. What could possibly go wrong?
