loads of offers recently to accompany men to chams in darlaston, but they want to split the cost. now i know its selfish but as a single women i can get in for a fiver. they want me to pay £12.50 to get them in as they arnt members.

also i cba to have to hang about on the dingy car park outside to go in as a couple.

am i just mean?

No, I am exactly the same. I dont want to go as a couple wih someone I've never met just to get them into a club. Also too many times I've been expected to stick with the guy when I want to go off and do my own thing.

not at all, if i go into a club with a guy i will not pay half of a couples entry when most clubs are free for women or a very small account, the most i have ever paid to get into a club alone is a fiver, or a tenner on party/events nights for some clubs

why should i help a guy into a club and save him membership frees and single guys entry frees, saving him £50/£60 or more depending on the club, for the night and me end up paying more

id sooner go alone, not be tied to anyone and play with who i like

I have only ever gone in as a couple twice, and on both occasions, the gent paid for entrance fees for a couple, to say thank you for looking after him.

depends on the guy, ive been with some guys and had a great night, been with others who have just used me to get in and some who just want to keep palming me off on men so they can shag their wifes, ive met them all me lol

thing is knowing someone before you go with them so you know what kind of person they are

Nope you just give him a £5 as thats fair... and the equivalent of the taxi cost there or fuel costs and wear and tare on the car for half the travelling costs if he is collecting you.

Its a choice thing, you want company or not. It sounds like you are saying unless there is something in it for you then you would rather go alone.

I got caught out once completely my fault , was going as a single girl to a social in a club 3 yrs ago now and then on the day was asked would I take a single guy in by some at the time friends. What should have cost me £10 to get in ended up costing me £30 as half of a couple and I was to nice to open my mouth and say anything. Wouldnt get caught like that again.

believe me going as a single woman to a swinging club i have no shortage of company, i dont need to go with anyone to have company

the thing is without sounding mean im a single working mother, i dont drive so every time i meet its costs me a fair bit of money, taxis, hotels, clubs but i pay what i feel is fair, if i book a hotel with someone i will pay half, if i arrange to meet someone i will get trains and taxis, i dont ask or expect anyone to run around after me, but i will not pay more than i need to, so wether people agree with me or not if i can get into a club cheaper alone than going with someone i will go alone

i also will not go in to a club with a guy just to make it cheaper for him, thats not what im here for

The fact it is cheaper is not the factor, yes it's a bonus but I would pay even if it wasn't so.

thats what i usually do to be honest

its very rare i go in with guys now days but i meet loads of guys off here in there

that way of we dont like each other its no loss to either as we are both there anyway, just bugger off and do your own thing

I went to a couples night with a friend and was happy to pay half of the entrance fee as it was couples night but somehow ended up paying the whole lot and he paid nothing!!

Too polite to open my mouth and say anything so that was a lesson learnt!!

Saying that if it was a night when singles could go then I def wouldn't pay more than it would cost me to get in on my own and if the male decides he wants to go in as a couple, it would be still cheaper than if they were to go in alone! x

I prefer to go on my own, but on the times I have taken a guy along he pays for us to get in... he saves £15 and I save a fiver... but I tend to pay the bar bill and drive.... we arrive together.

They are guys I know and have already played with, so I know I am not being used as a cheap way in or a membership short-cut.

I took an unknown a few years back..... never again. The last thing you want to discover is you took a twat in.

as much as sometimes its nice to have someone to go with etc i like the freedom to do whatever i want and not looking out for others

i tend to go to socialise more than play but thats my luck as im so fussy

am i selfish for going to socialise and not play probably but i dont care

I also prefer to go as a single female unless I have played with a man before and am happy to go with him.

For me I am very aware it costs me alot of fuel to get there and back as a number of hours drive away plus accomodation and entrance.....its a massive amount. Great if the man can pay the rooms costs or the entrance from my point of view. I actually only get to go about once a year to chams but would go more often if I could.

Being a single female at chams is lovely and can have more fun as a single than as a couple often. Deffinately not selfish.

I'd have to agree with this I have never asked a woman to split costs at chams. I know times are hard out there for everybody but c'Mon 25 quid to get in and people are splitting costs?...splitting costs starts things out on the wrong foot if you go in together.....now if the woman is just using you and too cheap to pay 5 quid then that's one thing but if you have arranged to go then just dig deep and cut down on the amout of ale you drink so you afford it LOL

i think its different if a guys going out of his way to travel and take you a long distance then i would happily pay towards petrol if it was my only means of getting there as i would feel we was helping each other out

but i only live about a mile away from chams and can walk it there and get a taxi back for a fiver, so going with a guy isnt helping me out at all and splitting pretrol with him would probably cost me more than my usual means of getting there

im not tight i just have kids and if i have spare money id sooner give it them than some guy off here

the top and bottom of it is if its cheaper for me to go alone i will go alone and probably have a better night to boot

lol no i only walk in summer and i get changed there, put my comfy shoes on to go in, i have walked back a few times too when its been summer and a nice night, dont take long

Im going with a mate tonight I always pay her in and we never play ill be sitting in jacuzzi doing sod all and she will be off playing and that's ok with me because at the very least I will get to have a nice soak and have a laugh and for 25 quid I'm not complaining.

I've taken ladies into clubs, either in my "coupled up" years or on spec, and wouldn't have dreamt of not paying the both of us in as a couple.

If you've got guys that want to "go dutch", then it's either a pretty poor choice of guys that you've chosen or "gentlemanlyness" and chivalry have gone right out of the window.
