We just spent a weekend in Whitby and it happened to be goth weekend. We've got to admit that we found some of the outfits a turn on. Are there any swinging / goth links, clubs, like minded couples about please?

We've just been there too, noticed the signs in the churchyard saying "no photographs of people posed on the graves" apparently a fave thing for the Goths to do. Whitby seems to be Goth heaven, we even saw a Goth-only hotel.

Haven't dome any Goth swinging, but a (vanilla) Goth friend took us to to a Goth club many years ago which was rather raunchy. Goth girls certainly are sexy.

thanks for the replies guys, we must say we're intrigued by the whole scene but it is very sexy...Here's another for those who are in the know about all things goth, steam punk/victoriana - there seem to be very close links between the goth scene and fetish scene? and also the goth scene and TV's/cross dressing etc or is it nt a sexual link? Sorry but we are goth virgins

Have to agree, love the Goth, Emo and rock scenes, used to be heavily into them all, but sort of drifted away and lost contact with my friends in the scenes.Though i can't say i saw any explicit link to fetish personally, some of my friends definitely had an interest in it, like most sub cultures, groups etc, people tend to be me far more eclectic than outsiders believe. But have to say some of the most beautifully accepting people i have met.

On a side note, Gothic clothing is not cheap, kitting out my ex's wardrobe cost me a small fortune lol. Worth it at the time though.

There is quite a large cross over goth/fetish on the manchester scenes, mainly because the same pubs and clubs are the only places we go!

(I'm one of the cross over, both goth and into the fetish/bdsm scene) you also have to remember things like corsets and latex are worm within both scene!

The goth look is very hot though!

We are not goth, but we are an 'alternative' couple, Mr P is into Punk and I am into Psychobilly/Vintage Pin Up, and I also wear latex and corsets

I love whitby it has such an awesome vibe to it and the abbey looks awesome as well as all the ye olde pubs lol.

I have to say considering i used to be goth, long purple hair, eye liner, bondage clothing etc, i never really noticed the cross over, shame maybe i just didn't meet the right people lol. Oh and i never really liked the music, always a classic rock, nu-rock and punk fan, so just considered myself Alternative really.
