OP didn’t say anything about pictures, just verifications. I hate the verification process on here, it makes me cringe, and I’ve known several people on here that don’t ‘do’ them. If you choose not to speak to them, then that’s your choice. It doesn’t mean they’re not meeting.

I've met a few stalkers on here and they were verified. It doesn't take much to get two people who havnt actually met verify one another .

There are fakes on here that have been here a short period of time and have verifications.

Use your common sense and gut instinct.

I wouldn't even open a message from someone who's been on here that long with no verifications

Photos or verified photos wasn't mentioned in original post........... yeah it's highly unlikely someone without any verifications isn't here to meet and are probably fake or a time waster BUT I've seen lots of false meet and cam veries, especially on couple profiles! Verifications aren't always genuine, so many MEN set up a single male profile get verified via cam in chat then set up a couple profile, use that verified single male profile to verify the couple profile!

Do you have a year before you need to create a new profile?

It won’t help. Use filters to filter out those who aren’t verified?

Kick them off after a year and the next day they'll set up a brand new profile. A new profile with no verifications is more believable as everyone starts out like this. So really you'd be doing them a favour if they're fake. Pointless.

Agreed, it takes five mins to get photo verified, or to upload a pic, even if it’s of your leg! Verifications do help, even from socials. U have to question people motives without any of these after a significant period of time. It wouldn’t stop the fakes, but it would make it harder for them which I’m sure we are all in favour of

Or alternatively OP just be more selective, take your time getting to know people through messaging etc and build up a level of comfort that they're genuine that way. Doesn't take that long and you can soon enough out the fakes etc

Just because someone has been here a year and not been verified doesn't necessarily mean they're not genuine - some people don't meet and use the site to chat and enjoy the forums, others don't use the veri system etc
