No, it's not difficult at all but for some guys they only see what they want to and simply just don't read profiles and the content fully and properly.

Genuine males will read profiles correctly and act accordingly.

Just my opinion but I'm a genuine person and when I see that on a profile it puts me off. I'm an adult looking for some relaxed fun, I don't want to have to do things a certain way or follow rules imposed by one half of the equation.

Could it be the genuine people are not contacting you because they HAVE read your profile?

Conversely, I get my meets on the grounds that my Profile plus my style of approach followed by two-way dialogue conveys being Genuine to those with whom I'm liaising.

Thus, it means different things to different people.

This, if I see the word thing I would think nope not jumping through hoops for you.

But also a lot of people do look at the pics and message it's soon easy by looking at their profile and seeing that they don't match what you are looking for

It puts me off too, I don't reply to people who request a certain word be said. And also what at the end of the day, is there to say, that that person has even read MY profile. X

If I read a profile that ressembles a tick list of likes and requirements and then at the end says ‘include the word ..... to show you have read ‘ then I simply would never ‘apply’ .

In fairness, they’re using the site the way they want to - by messaging the people with pictures they like. Annoying when that’s not how you like to use it but that’s where it makes a quick scan of messages easy for you before you start to read properly.

Your profile is fairly difficult to read to be honest as it's just one block paragraph with little punctuation. The word you want them to write is hidden among it.

I had to read it a couple of times to pick it out, but then it's early and my eyes haven't woken up yet!

To be fair there is not that much to read information wise, apart from the no hair and you will contact single guys if you want to meet them, there is not really much about your actually selves and what you are looking for and the sort of people you want to meet and the things you like sex wise.

It's a social site! You don't stand in a pub with a large sign listing the type of people you will only chat to- it's a process of illumination.

I love this site but some people need to lighten up and not take themselves so seriously.

If you want to do yourselves a big favour get rid of the reply with this keyword instruction.

It comes across demanding and many here will simply not apply.

Generally we are not seeking to apply for anything. It smacks of entitlement.

To then post a complaining thread that some don't follow your instructions further suggests entitlement and a perception that by meeting you are doing the other some favour!

People make their own choices and will seek those they feel some affinity with....being told what to do by demands on profiles does not sit easily with that...

But it's your profile so feel free to ignore this and do it any way you want

The long(ish) profiles and keywords are there as a way of sifting out the wasters who can't be bothered to put effort in at any stage and just treat Fab like a dark alley behind a school disco.

No wonder so many singles complain if they can't grasp the idea that they need to put SOME effort in.

I have actually asked the question about one line messages in another thread on here and the general theme was that if they liked the profile or the pics then many would still reply. I guess it's the overall package people go for.

The point I was making was simply ignore, delete, block or say no thank you.

And no as a single male we don't get 100s of messages but we can still be just as choosy about who we meet. It's nice to get that choice even if you do have to pick through people that may or may not be blanket mailing in the hope of a reply

You will be amazed just how many people sign a legal document without reading it

Yes you're tight. It's a process of elimation. And if somebody wants to start that elimination process early on so they don't waste time on people who ultimately won't make the grade, that's up to them.

As a couple we do not like just to simply ignore or delete or block,we always try and reply to any messages we get ..but we have filters in place in our profile wording to hopefully filter out the standard fancy a fuck ..I'm free this morning at 6am to fuck you..if we do get this type of message then it's clear they have not seen our full profile, probably just seen a pic and hit the message button..these type of message will get deleted and not replied to,because if they can not be bothered to read a profile, then we can not be bothered to reply
