Good luck with this thread. Have a look at others relating to the queen of spades tattoos.

Many people see this as racist.

It's the term that is racist, it's basically the white female declaring herself as using black men as sex slaves. The term queen of spades is derogatory towards black men. It is like saying the female is better than the black Man. ..she is a Queen but he is just a spade (shovel) for shovelling Shit. X

Surely for women into the swinging lifestyle it would be more relevant to have a club on your bum or wherever it's going, then you'd be the queen of clubs.

Couldn't have said it better myself this is why I'm not a fan of the Queen of Spades Tattoo. Also the thought of being fetishized is a bit off putting.

I find a lot of interracial porn difficult to watch because of the fetishizing of the male stars. I find they don't help any social integration cause when they keep referring to themselves as 'big n***** dick' etc. Which just reinforces certain stereotypes.

Even though I do like to hear people enjoying themselves I have to hit the mute button as I find it really cringeworthy.

Sorry if that's a bit off topic..

Exactly. Slave masters loved black slaves, especially strong ‘specimens’, and women to do domestics and for non consensual sex.

Queen= self explanatory really.

Spades, (black men) = even worse.

Yep. I’d call that racist.

In America they used to have slave breeding programs. They bred for bigger stronger workers in the fields as well as raping the pretty females to get lighter skinned house slaves.

Bad times..

To be fair the OPs question wasn’t about her tattoo, rather what her husband can get to symbolise the same. I’m sure someone must have some ideas

Maybe the Jack? I’m sure most women and couples who use this haven’t the least notion that it might be offensive to some- just trying to show what they appreciate! And the ones I’ve seen are far from intending any suggestion that they might be superior in some way to black guys - if anything , the reverse.

Fetishism brings acceptability to some. I personally work on the theory that if it has potential to offend, don’t use it. Unless of course that person owns the name themselves of course. There are plenty who use and accept for themselves other things like ni88er or BBC. I have the same theory for that too - another helpful filter.

Maybe a Swastika with the Jamaican flag colours and Spade logo in the centre!

All joking aside, the QoS logo does unfortunately come with negative baggage relating to racism. However, it's history and as I discovered, is a little perplex.

Personally, I find it distasteful but we're fortunate enough to live in a country that allows for freedom of speech and expression and so long as you believe the tattoo is right for you then go ahead. Just be willing to stand by your guns when required do so.

So if someone puts there preference on a profile as they prefer white it's classed as racist

But if someone has a ace of spades tattoo on there skin it's totally fine.

All these pc world double standards really confuse me

It's not double standards to expect someone not to use derogatory terms. It's fine to state a preference for white or black. It is not cool to use racist words in doing so. I am with a black guy and I would never use the word spade in reference to him or his colour.

Hm...

The Urban Dictionary has two definitions of this term. One is "a woman who dates only black men".

I know of (quite thoughtful and intelligent) black men who have as their Fab names "Ace of Spades" and "Jack of Spades".

The main origin of the term is in card games. Poker players often use these symbols.

Finally, just two bonus names: Pushkin and Tchaikovsky.

"I never understand why these 'Queen of Spades' are always married to white guts. "

According to the Urban Dictionary, they are sometimes not married to anyone, although we are all aware that dating often results in marriage.

But then you are probably right that it is usually the ones married to white guys that actually get the tattoo.
