Twice i have been blocked on here today as a result of sending or showing my face. Makes me wonder if im either ugly or the recipient has no manners to say sorry im not interested. Wasted time messaging back and forwards to be blocked after i show my face. My face pic is not being shown to anyone for a while now. Anyone else experianced this

It's a good idea to exchange face pics pretty early on I find, then it doesn't seem too bad if that happens as you haven't been wasting much time messaging.

Would " I dont find you attractive" have been better?

I agree with this

Some people just are rude and/or don't wanna waste there time if they aren't interested anymore.

Just bad manners. Doesn't take 1 minute to just reply "Not for me" it's rude! try not to take it personally...

I can see where your coming from, but when I was young and naïve I used to speak forever and couldn't wait to meet that person, then I saw a face pic and my legs couldn't cross any tighter

Maybe they recognised you and instead of accidentally exposing the connection further by replying/leaving pics exposed, they simply blocked?

I’ve seen some of the messages women get for being polite. Or the guys who just won’t let it go. I understand why they might just not let that happen.

as have most of us...however some women get fed up with abuse in response to a polite 'no thank you', and decide it's easier to just block when they aren't interested. The site FAQs address this very clearly.

If you can’t shrug off the rejections or the lack of interest you’re going to have a tough time on Fab. You’ll also end up getting your hopes up and wasting time and energy with increasingly positive messages until you reveal your mug pic and.... they don’t like the look of you. It wastes everyone’s time. Always send a real and recent face pic with your first message if you don’t want to have a public pic, it’s the essential first step in getting acquainted. Top tip chap, use a picture that someone else has taken of you looking relaxed, smiling, natural - crappy selfies rarely do anybody any favours.... now wait for all the ladies wanting to meet you. Just leave some for the rest of us....

If I've got to the stage of asking for a face pic if I'm not feeling it I'll always say 'thanks for sending but I'm not interested'.

But I don't ask for many so it's not a massive issue for me

Meant to say, I've never just blocked though, as the conversation was good, but I have never said that I want to meet, just kept it neutral until I have to say sorry not for me, but it is a difficult situation after the chat has been going on for some time

I know it can be a bit soul destroying, but you just have to think “right, I’m not for them”, and move on. I think it’s pretty rude to block, but then a lot of people struggle with saying they’re not interested.

No, however just think of the time saved not having to chat to non-compatible people.

You’re rejected probably because there’s too many guys so average ladies get to choose for once ..

In the real world where it’s even odds the balls back in your court..

This is really just a bit of fun

Unfortunately, this is the nature of fab. Although it can be for a number of reasons for being blocked, other than just being shallow.

I wouldn’t agree that it’s wasting time with the messaging. The whole point of messaging and photo swapping is to find a suitable playmate and no one is obliged to meet people. However, I agree that if you develop a rapport over several messages, it is rude not to reply with a ‘no thanks’.

I am not prepared to tell someone they aren’t for me. I’m too chicken for that. And I wouldn’t want someone to say that to us either. We would avoid letting it get to that stage though.

I’m doing fine, thanks. I’m just pointing out that everything’s relative. I’m having fun. I’m sure you’re having fun. But there are thousands of guys out there for whom there is literally nothing fun about Fab.

Some guys on here think they are God's gift to women and when you reply in a very polite way they go mad and seem to think they are everyone's type, unfortunately then some decent guys suffer like you did.
