I've just been "tidying up" and nicked a ball with the razor. Didn't sting until I put the aftershave on!

There is not a chance in hell I would get my mouth near them with aftershave on - it tastes vile

The alcohol in the aftershave is an astringent, reduces bleeding and acts as and antiseptic on an open cut also.
