How many fabbers would consider car-sharing to destinations or clubs for example? Could this be considered an alternative to public transport? Or if a call to help stranded individuals, how many fabbers would respond? Just intrigued........

Car pooling seems like a good idea if you know people who live close to you. Plus then someone can have a drink if they want and then return the favour next time by driving.

It's not for us due to when we want to go we just go, we'd happily give someone a lift but on the understanding that they'd have to make there own way home.

I'd definitely be interested because I live miles from everywhere and don't have a car. The only drawback for me would be getting into a car with someone I don't know.

I imagined the scenario to be with people you’d met before and felt comfortable with

Think safety would be the biggest factor then what about the leaving time ?

Good idea if all parties agree

Great idea but considering I live so far away from anywhere it really wouldn't work for me.

Be seen to take a photo of the reg number and text it to someone you know.

Someone did this to me once and I was totally fine with it.

I always take a phone number, car reg, and let someone know where I’m going, also always have gps switched on on my phone. I also have a code word to text to someone which means I’m in trouble. I’d like to think I would never have to use it however.....

Bus lanes usage to free up traffic and creating jobs for enforcement officers. Win win.

If I knew the person well, then what is the harm of car shsring. You both get to the place, you can have a chat and also split the fuel money.
