Assuming you're on here to swing, do you look to meet people within your profession only or do you look further afield. Say for things where finance doesn't really matter that much (wit, looks, physicality, girth, age, whatever?) How many conversations have you had where status or salary have affected you meeting someone. I'd guess the answer is close to 0. It is no different for high earners - if you like someone, you meet someone.

I can't say I full agree. I certainly play outside of my socioeconomic status, but the intelligence part I do agree.

so i am a postman, going back a few years before the internet i replied to an ad in the lonely hearts column of our local paper. it turns out this woman was the ceo of a very well known high profile company, she was earning a week what i was on a year, but we hit it off and got on very well, she told me that coming around to my place was a million miles away from her work life and she felt she could relax with no pressure, this lasted a few months and then she said and i quote "my power and money will destroy you in the end" i have no idea what she meant but that was that, never to be seen again, although i did see her on tele a few times giving interviews and stuff, i have never told anybody i had a thing with her.

I don’t find the amount someone earns to be a turn on. However if someone is relying on me to pay for everything and has no ambition then that’s definitely a turn off.

I’ve been in sexual relationships with several men and women who are worth well more than million+ (One of whom I still still see) and I cant tell the difference between them and anyone else. There is no arrogance, or extra confidence or any discernible difference in lifestyle. So, I don’t really see how the amount of money someone earns is a turn on?

Ambition, sure. Money? Nah.

I've no idea how much my girlfriends worth, all I know is "that she doesn't need to work"..just ordered a 40 grand car, goes shopping when she wants, has far to much "stuff" She did have a minimum wage job when I first met her but I think she just did it for something to do and not for the money, but doesn't now as couldn't be doing with the workplace drama so left.. I'm a average working guy who tends to be not far off skint day before payday and she knows this... We still take it in turns to pay for pub tea and what ever... Things are just normal.

I disagree I think invariably there is a direct link to being a high earner and intelligence . Or if you prefer money to common sense
