So, we all know that no reply means not interested and generally I live by this rule whether I've sent a message or received one.

My profile clearly states this and generally it works.

Today however I'm not well and, having received 10 messages from one profile in the past 24 hours gradually getting more and more irate with my lack of reply, instead of pressing the block button I replied, nothing abusive,just direct and to the point.

Now I know this has served absolutely no purpose, I dare say I'll get some abusive message back, but sometimes, just sometimes, ignore and block just doesn't cut it, anyone else done this even though you know you are quite literally wasting your time?

Why didn’t you just block after a couple of messages? Would have saved the dramatics?

I can’t understand why people keep messaging like that. Yes it’s disheartening when you send a message to someone who’s profile has really caught your eyes and you don’t get a reply, but that’s the nature of the beast. If I send a message I won’t message again. If I get a reply and we chat then I have a 3 message rule (but usually only 2) where I won’t message any more than 3 times without a reply - but only where we’ve already chatted. If never a reply I never message more than once (intentionally anyway)

They were all there when I logged in an hour ago. I've not been on since last night so I logged in to find them all.

Maybe fab should introduce a junk mail system, You just add their name and any further mail they send it goes straight in there without you having to read it or block them

I think if someones messaged u that many times they've obviously got a screw lose or are very thick. Go for the block in future.

If I messaged someone and didn't get a reply I certainly wouldn't send anymore.

Don't forget to report them also, after you block them. Sending bad messages is a form of bullying and unacceptable.

To be fair I normally would just block and move on.

Logging on to 10 messages tonight though just got my back up and even writing the reply i knew it was a complete waste of energy.

I get something similar, usually in envelopes marked HMRC

I block at the first sign of pushiness,if I don't reply 1st time and they message again it's a block.

There is that big stop think alert that reminds the person sending the message etc.
