I'm confused presumeably only an inner ear infection or labyrinthitis (usually following a viral infection) would cause the symptoms you have.

If someone has prescribed drops I'd have thought they were for an outer ear infection; shouldn't you be asking the person who prescribed them?

Is it vertigo or labyrinthitis? If so look for the Brandt-Daroff manoeuvre. My GP recommended it to me and it really helps.

Try pinching the fleshy area between your thumb and first finger. I have no idea if this'll help you but when I had dental pain it eased it.

I have ear infections most of the time for the last few years. I've currently got germoline in the outer ear canal as it's got an anaesthetic in it, eases my pain for a little while.

Sorry to hear that bro, I know it's a total bitch, the pain can be unbelievable, it's uniquely different to other pains.

To help ease the pain try putting warm hot water bottle near your ear x

I have ear plague atm too, using hot water bottles to get through the night, paracetamol and ibruprofen 400s to kill the pain and the Dr gave me this spray called EarCalm for the outer ear infection whilst antibiotics kill my inner ear infection. I get them about twice a year as unfortunately I don't actually have an ear drum in one ear so very little protection for my inner ear against bacteria or anything. All it takes is not drying my ears properly after a shower or something else minor and it comes back again

Hydrosol Silver & MSM drips may help clear the infection. Cam be used as both eye and ear drops. PM us if u decide you want to try them.

I had one and after repeated trips to the Dr (with no success), it stopped after I tried holding my nose in a long hot bath and 'exhaling'. The air then pushed out of my ear canals. I remember at first it was quite difficult to get any air passing through but by tipping my head at various angles and a little patience, eventually they cleared.

It might not be wise though if you have no ear drum as people have mentioned, but it was a relief I have to say.
