I would agree... but people just like to throw out the word "time waster" and see what sticks....

so first of all... define "timewaster"?

then we get to notice... how long is long enough... 30 minutes? an hour? 2 hours?

say if you car breaks down? your kids are sick? unexpected visitors? ect ect ect....

and then whether you like it or now there is selection process...

do you talk to people on the phone, did you get an address to go to ect ect ect.... all sorts of common sense things that seem to go out the window when people think with their nether regions rather than their brains.....

if it seems too good to be true... it normally is!

I've never had my time wasted!

I do club meets now but prior to that, I always met socially first, no exceptions. My social meets were arranged during my lunch hour near my office in an eaterie I would be anyway or the coffee shop in the station after work where I'd be heading home anyway.

100% meet rate: there are some I wish hadn't turned up: but that's another story. Play meets I'd book a flexi day to sort my wardrobe/work from home etc so my time wasn't wasted should they not show. I've had meets I have had no desire to repeat etc...but again 100% turned up.

I trust it makes it easier for you to cope calling those of us who haven't had their time wasted liars.

I've chatted to lots of people and sometimes mentioned meeting but then we haven't. I don't see that as time wasting.

I've met lots of people both as a single and a couple and in 8 years, I have never been stood up. People have cancelled, or I have cancelled but always in advance of the day.

She never does sex chat or talks about our likes or dislikes or how the meet will go. She goes on like she's chatting to her pal. Most of the time she doesn't even view their profile and doesn't mind the "hows you" messages. Works a treat as every meet has been spot on. Think too much emphasis is focused on the profiles and opening messages on here as that's all I hear about on the forums

Define time waster, yes we get plenty of people who message us and we chat but never get to the point of arranging a meet plus the odd cancellation with plenty of notice and plausible reason but we don't consider those as time wasting as we would have been on fab anyway. We have never had a no show.

Can't agree. We met on here 7 years ago as singles. Had a few couples profiles since. Without doubt, the number of fake profiles, bullshitters, chatters etc. has increased to the point where we, too, are considering deleting for good. Many of our attractive friends from past meets have left for the same reason. Fab is not a patch on what it once was, so have to agree with the OP

just noticed the couple we were responding to only meet single males - so fully understandable that they don't suffer from timewasters i.e. thousands of single fellas seeking meets.

You will find a huge difference when trying to meet couples or single fems. Lots of couples profiles are now single men - wasters

Lots of women on here just to chat - maybe not wasters but certainly not swingers -

I've had a time waster mess me about tonight.we really got on and chatted a lot.its been arranged for weeks now and she knew all the trouble I went to so i could make it tonight.

I also drove 16 miles to get there only to be left say there on my own.

Being new here, and after reading about other folks expeiences with timewasters, I expected that there would be time when after arrangements had been made that a meet wouldnt take place for some reason.

So far I have arranged 2 meets and both of them had veris. One had 3 and the other 9. When I was due to meet the one with 3 I got a phone call while I was at the meet venue to say sorry but its off as the wife's cold had got worse and she was confined to bed. Fair enough because I had actually spoken to her the previous day on the lhone and she sounded dreadful then. Hey ho home I went disappointed but not downhearted.

Time came to meet the other people. I went to the meet venue some 120 miles from home. Waited and waited and and hour after the appointed time and still no show I phoned to find out where they were. Answer still at home and not coming out to meet now. I asked why and they said because I had no veris, I'm single (divorced) and bi. Whoa!! Hang on a minute I said, I told them they knew all that anyway as we had discussed over the phone. They had said no veris wasnt a problem previously and now it was. Plus theyd thought again about my being single. What difference that made I dont know. To say I was angry puts it mildly, especially when I had travelled all that way and the venue was less then 5 miles from their home.

So I had an overnight stay at the hotel we had booked and went home next day still feeling very pissed off. Still awaiting that first elusive meet. With a bit of luck it might be one with the couple who the lady was poorly. At least they were genuine and did the right thing in letting me know the situation. Unless anyone here wants to step in first that is ????
