I've found it to mean they have all sorts of 'unusual' tastes and want to indulge in them, but don't want everyone to know.

I took it to mean they don't want you to turn up at their local and start nudging and winking...

If you passed in the street/Shops you would carry on as if you didn't know them...

People who can keep things to themselves, no chatting to others about what went on during a meet etc

In a previous life, as part of a couple, whist in a pub, we saw a man we had played with. He was nudging his mate and looking over most of the time, we just ignored it and hopped his mate would thing he was just bullshitting...

So discrete to me is all the above.

its not disscret then if u meet for a social drink in a pub etc and after ur meet u put a veri on for them,,

Maybe they think none of their family will see it on here...

why is it when people say they are discrete do others jump to the wrong conclusion!!!! im discrete and what I mean by that is I wont go shouting my mouth off about the people who I meet thats between me and them

In my case, it means what goes on behind closed doors, stays behind closed doors and is purely between the parties involved.

(Unless summat happens during the meet that is either bizarre or makes me chuckle - in which case, I reserve the right to tell the world - albeit still on a no names basis !)

Had a message from a local guy who wanted to meet and for discretion wanted all to wear a mask. personally think thats a bit OTT, and a slight insult as we are NOt going to bump into him out and go shouting our mouths off and that ind of implys we would and have no discretion ourselves.

Has nothing to do with people n stuff. Just means away from everything else.

EXAMPLE Africa is a huge continent divided into discrete countries.

England is a country divided into discrete counties.

Hotels are buildings comprising of discrete private rooms and public rooms.

A bicycle can be broken down into discrete parts like : chain, saddle, handlebars etc...

A victoria sponge has the discrete parts of top layer , bottom layer , jam and cream.

Yes please. My fave is scones n jam or a choux bun or walnut cake with butter cream.... coffee cake heavily creamed and iced goes down well but my all time fave is lemon ... tons of bitter lemon drizzle or cup cake frosting..... No cheescake! I can eat it but it's goo. Only I make good cheescake.

For me it simply means I will not be showing the veri's nor my friends list as it's my bussiness, no one elses, and I wouldn't discuss them elsewhere, as I dont personally want or need talking about.

When I go to clubs I dont even give out my fabs thing as I am naturally quiet and dont want comments about what I did when or with whom,

I have sadly had previous experience (on here) that I met another couple but wouldn't meet with them

Also I was taken to task by a single bloke who said I had slept with **** but I didnt know who he was talking about, turns out I did sleep with ****, however I knew her real name and it wasn't ****, and well there was no actual sleeping involved that night :D
