STDs and swinging clubs.

Outside of the bareback community obviously condoms are a must, but how much do they really protect against STDs, given that at an average club event, cocks are sucked/wanked off, pussies are tongued/fingered, surely anything nasty can easily be spread around.

So other than wearing surgical gloves and clingflim on pussies and no oral without a condom is there really any protection?

Not really. Short of being certificated monthly as a condition of entry. But even then some things take 3 months to show on a test.

But if you swing you take those risks. No matter how careful you are, it only takes one partner who isn't.

It's common sense and decency. I love giving oral to ladies, but unless I know them very well I will always thoroughly wash my hands and face between ladies.

Most if not all STIs don't live long outside the body and don't like saliva so oral is generally a far less risky activity than penetrative sex, but a few basic precautions are still wise.

I've been going to parties and clubs with my wife and various friends for almost 15 years and none of us has contracted any infections. Nobody I personally know in the swinging scene has either because we are careful.

As is often said the only safe sex is no sex - by swinging you agree to take a risk, some people psychologically don’t like to admit that but they are, whether they use a condom or not

Using a condom is like putting your seatbelt on for driving, tips the odds significantly in your favour but no guarantee it won’t go wrong

And just like every time we set off to drive we take a risk for the benefit of doing something we want to do swinging is the same

STDs that can be contracted while using a condom include:

HPV (human papillomavirus)

Genital herpes.

Syphilis.

Public Lice/Crabs.

Molluscum Contagiosum.

I’m going to express an interest in all clubs installing a bath at entry - a bit like a sheep dip but with dettol in

Going to a club hotel or private meet they all carry the same risk so its down to the individuals too take care and protection and use common sense

I get checked regularly at my local clinic, when questioned I mentioned my lifestyle, expecting a lecture. I was surprised when she said that it was unusual to see infections amongst the swinging population. Apparently the majority of us are careful.

Not a reason to take risks, but good to know.

Yes, reasonable precautions can and are taken by the majority of swingers. Gum clinics are never surprised to deal. With swingers, polyamorous people or sex workers.

I was also told at the clinic that oral is a low risk activity so all good
