"Think we are almost there. Thoughts?"

What makes you think that ?

In answer to your question ~ When one or both of you are not enjoying it anymore.

The bad news is that probably you do get filtered out of some people's preferences.

The good news is you fall into the hands of the worst kind of perverted degenerates

There is no best time to retire from swinging, everyone is different and your age is immaterial. Yes, we may fall outside the preferences of others as we age but there are plenty of people who still want to play with older swingers.

If you are both still enjoying it then why stop?

Once one or both of you as had enough and doesn't want to do it anymore is when you should stop.

Surely it comes down to your personal life situation? I don't believe there's a 'right time' for anything in life, only the time that suits you.

It has nothing to do with opinion.

Cracking question OP. Looking at your profile I don't think you are over the hill yet, though In our 40s we did find it much much easier to get what we thought were quality meets. We still do not feel like we have to drop our aspirations and perhaps when we do or find no one aspires to meet us that is the time.

People still seem to find our profile attractive so no ready to retire yet.

Reading your profile it doesn't look like you're short of offers. So it can only be because you no longer want to do it.

We’ve had this conversation a few times.

The conclusion we came too is ....

1.When Only ugly people seem interested in you.

2.When you look around a club/party and think what the f@ck am I doing here!!

3.When your always the only couple left in the room when everyone has gone to play.

4.When you’ve been on Fab 4 years with no one wanting to meet you.

Seriously thou we think when the nights lost it’s shine and your not getting a buzz from it then it’s time for a break.

Luckily we’re still loving it but we have reduced the amount of weekends we’re out now.

Old age eh!!

I think George Bernard Shaw's fine words can be applied to this as much as to anything;

"You don't stop playing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop playing"

Provided you are still attracting others, who themselves are attractive to you, then why the hell stop?

After our last club visit on Monday, we're leaving that scene and probably taking a short break altogether. The last two visits haven't done anything for us so Monday confirmed that decision.

Any future play will be if and when.

It's your life OP, you do what you feel is right for you

When you manage to empty an orgy room at a club

One of the clubs I used to visit had a large play room where anything goes but one night there was an elderly couple in the middle of this large bed that was usually a pile of bodies and nobody else went in all the time they were there.

Harsh I know but nobody seemed keen to jump in there lol

Good grief Never ! If it is what you want and you still have people that fancy you and you want, keep it going.

It seems Im not too old from the offers I get but I feel they are just trying to tick the age box on their bucket list. shrugs! so I guess for me the age was 67.. I shall just socialise here in the Forums with an occasional Social.

I never was available anyway.

"Age is nothing but a number" is nothing but a cliche. Age is wrinkly skin, saggy bits, bits that don't work and bits that work overtime, creaking bones, thinning hair etc etc!

Well your pics are great op - so unless you actually want to give up swinging then you’ve nothing to worry about!

Me personally - unless I meet mr rightish (and hopefully mr rightish will be a fellow swinger! ) then I’ll stop swinging when I can no longer attract the people I’m attracted to!

I’ll stop the forums when either

A) there’s no more Fab or

B) I pop my clogs!
