I forgot, there was another time I was away, I met with someone in reading, missed the junction, no map or sat nav etc. Done a circuit of the M25 go get back to where I needed to be! Yep pretty stupid I know, it was a long time ago (if that makes it any less excusable)

Travelled about 150 each way for a forum social which was great!

To meet an individual - just over 100 miles each way I think! It was fabulous at the time,, but he turned out to be less than fabulous later on! X

Years ago when I first started swinging I drove from Birmingham all the way down to Andover to meet a girl I had been chatting to.

We had an amazing day of drinking and shagging. Lost touch with her - but still makes me smile. Be nice if she still remembered our meet too

No idea, but I rode to Aberystwyth from near Dumfries a couple of times when I was in my teens.

Took about 9 hours easily because I was still on L plates and couldn't use the motorway or do much more than 60 flat out on my 125.

Was definitely worth it though!

Ross-on-Wye

We used to meet up with a very very hot German couple from time to time, we usually met them in Paris which was about equidistant. Worth every mile.

Unfortunately he became ill, and they're off the scene at the moment. Don't know how she's managing as she's a "5-a-day" girl.

Hull

I went to Edinburgh from Hull in the train. Not sure how far it was but there was a strike which resulted in me spending 10 hours getting there with delays and bus transfers across the other side of the country. Got a lift back the next morning though. I had a great time so it was worth it in the end.

Work Abroad / London

I met a couple on another site based in Portugal. After a lot of chatting I was invited to join them.

Flew to Malaga with my good lady swinging partner. Picked up my car from storage and then drove to the Algarve to meet at their place as guests for two days.

We ended up staying 2 weeks and had a crazy time. Met a lot of the best people on the scene in the Algarve.

Was it worth it ? Well we all still very good friends 9 years later and still getting up to no good !!
