It takes a lot of trust in the person being on the giving end, especially if you're not a fan of being restrained. If you really want to try it, I'd suggest finding someone experienced but who puts you at ease quite easily. Someone who you can talk with about your fears and boundaries. And take it a little bit at a time- however much you feel comfortable with. Also, remember that you have your safe word that you can use whenever things get a bit too much.

Hence why I'm so reluctant to try it regardless of how much I want to.

Start with something relatively small? Instead of proper handcuffs, just get your partner to use a scarf? Soft fabric, more play than proper restraint. Or another idea- during the play, just get your partner to warn you to keep your hands away? Like over your head or under your bottom, but without any physical restraint first? And agree on 'punishment' if you forget yourself? It is a start... And then you can see if it still turns you on

Without trust it doesn't work. But the so much of this lifestyle doesn't work without trust.

That's what I'd prefer. I get panicky with someone laying on my chest; I don't think I could take hands and feet restrained and definitely not arms tied to my body.

Buy a Bluetooth remote control egg. Trust me they work wonders for edging.

I’ve got a pair of metal handcuffs bought from Anne Summers (I believe they had fur round them originally!). They’re great because they have a little catch that the wearer can release should they wish to open them - so a good compromise!
